Sadly I don't get G4 anymore, but I watch it once in a while if I'm at a friends house who does.

I picked other because I like multiple shows on there. Code Monkeys, Ninja Warrior and Unbeatable Banzuke are all pretty awesome.

I don't really like the new format of X-Play all that much (I still watch it though) and I haven't liked AOTS since Kevin Rose left it.

I never saw Arena, but I wish they'd tone down on the Duty Free TV. 10293237429087509 episodes of Ninja Warrior is annoying.

None. I stopped watching G4 years ago. X-Play was the last show worth watching for a while, then went down the drain. It isn't NEARLY as funny as it was before the G4 takeover. How anyone finds that show funny now is beyond me, because the comedy in X-Play now consists entirely of poop jokes, crude celebrity cut-outs saying a famous line, and repeating a lame joke ten fucking times per review. The "humor" in X-Play now is the sort of stuff I would laugh at if I was still seven. When I finally stopped watching, it was at the point where the humor was so pathetic that I couldn't make it through a single review without wanting to cut my ears off.

Likewise, G4 is one of the most schizophrenic channels ever. They don't know what the hell their target audience is, so they just throw random shows at the viewers and see what sticks. That, or they are damned determined to make a very mediocre channel by trying to please everyone. Look at their lineup and you'll see just a complete hodgepodge of random shows, each targeting a totally different audience. For a gaming analogy, G4 is like a game developer who wasn't sure what genre they wanted their game to be, so they just made a shooter/RPG/RTS/platformer/dating sim. You can see how this wouldn't work, and thus understand why G4's lineup makes little sense. At one time a while back, the lineup was trying to please gamers, perverts (They had a show about modern "sex tech"), Trekkies, street racers, cops, anime fans, and many more. The channel just has no clear focus.

Wasn't that how it was always like? Infact, that's what it was like before, I have yet to see a poop joke or celebrity cut outs again and again now.

H I started watching G4 back when it was still Tech TV, and I loved it. It had great shows, like X-Play(then) and The Screen Savers (now AOTS.)
A It was the nerd channel, for people like me.
L Let me break it outline the shows as they were and as they are now-
I Filter- Dian Mizota was the host, and they did a top ten for stuff like Best story, Worst game, and Best graphics. After a brief dab into pop culture, they replaced Dian Mizota with Beth Ostrosky, and Best music with "Guys it's OK to hate" The show now exist as a 60 bit in the ads.
W The Screen Saver- Used to be a talk show for nerds, with neat gadgets and sites, cool events, and fun stuff like LAN Party thursday and Free Play Friday. Now it's Attack of The Show, and the Around the Net is just a collection of recent YouTube videos. Plus the occasional gimmick. They almost completely forgot about gaming.
A Robot Wars- Neat little show, sort of campy. Basically robot v. Robot in a fight to the death, in an unforgiving arena. It's gone now.
L-Arena- Cometetive gaming on TV. The first place I saw Kevin Periera. 2 teams go in, one team comes out. It was pretty cool, a nerds football game.
I- X-Play- The reason I started to watch the network to begin with. With funny and informative reviews, they cought my attention. With their funny skits, they got my laughs. With their complete shutdown of reviews, they earned my hate. They have 1, count it, 1 review per episode.
Of the original hosts, only Adam Sessler, Morgan Webb, and Kevin Periera remain. Good shows have been replaced with Cops and Cheaters. This network really fell from 1337 to noob. Not "Newb" as in inexperienced or new, "Noob" as in just sucks.

I like AOTS. It is entertaining and the interaction between Kevin and Olivia is really funny sometimes. I like the feed since it usually gives me the Tech/geek news I like. But come on who doesn't want to look at Olivia Munn. She could be number one on my list.

Attack of the Show and X-Play are the only good shows on G4.

They need to get rid of stupid shit like Hurl, Cheaters, and Cops. Hell, if they could turn it back into Tech TV, re-hire all of the good people they fired, get back all of the good shows that used to be on it (Unscrewed with Martin Sargent, The Screen Savers, Robot Wars, Filter, etc.) then I might be happy with G4.

Meh X-play's alright but I take everything Adam Cesspool and Morgan Manjaw say in their reviews with a grain of salt. You can tell just from Morgan's review of Tales of the Abyss that she didn't even give that game a chance.

No, back in the days of Tech TV there was significantly less of that sort of humor. It was about six-seven months after the G4 takeover that they started to degrade to the level that they were when I stopped watching.

I really enjoy Arrested Development. I'm not exactly wild about the fact that it's on G4... But hey, it's a well written, hilarious show. I'd watch it no matter what channel it was on.

If we're talking G4 exclusive, I guess I'd go with Attack of the Show, because it's closest in style to Electric Playground.

I like x-play best, though it is losing alot of it's luster, with unbeatable banzuke in second.

I really miss the old filter, though, and the anime's sound like an interesting thing that I missed.

Also, sub-poll: who here found out about the escapist through G4? Not me.

Definitely Ninja Warrior. I don't see why so many people like X-play. It's like watching a high-school talent show where the weird kid no one ever talks to try's to do a comedy sketch. It becomes really awkward and unfunny. Especially when they pretend to know "memes."

What really put me off was when they rated the first Dawn of War and called it God of War. I let it slip thinking, "Ok it's a new show, give 'em a break." But when they said the space marines fight for the God of War is when I gave up.
