I liked MGS3 the best. Probably cause for some reason it went together with Nine Inch Nails' Downwards Spiral.

I have hated Metal Gear Solid, its plot is horrible and its not very good at being a stealth game.


With that being said.. I remember renting Metal Gear Solid 3 and it was alright, it seemed pretty good and the story was far enough removed from the originals to not be completely awful.

I played MGS2 to the shit. Its the only game I bothered to try and challenge myself with. I believe my fastest time was about 6 hours. I don't do that a lot.

The plot is not horrible just very hard to understand if you dont pay enough attention.

Never had any problems with understanding it, it just all read like one of those B Science Fiction movies that Mystery Science Theatre 3000 would tear apart.

Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence. It has everything the original Snake Eater had plus some extras. And the new camera system made accidentally running into guards a thing of the past.

Metal Gear Solid 3 was my favorite. It just feels more varied than all the others.

I have only played 2 but I was irritated because I was wanting to play Solid Snake, the MAIN CHARACTER of Metal Gear Solid, not some long-haired blone guy named Raiden...

Also, the ending of the story was SOOOO STUPID I couldn't stop laughing. I'm not sure whether to spoil it or not but jesus...

Also, if Metal Gear is supposed to be so powerful, how can one guy fight three at once?

Snake Eater is top, with Solid in a close second and guns in 3rd. Followed by Portable Ops (VERY under rated), Ac!D and THEN MGS2.

Metal Gear Solid is the only one I enjoyed. I had involving, original and satisfying gameplay, something the others couldn't get close to.

MGS4 honestly. But mostly because Snake's new character design reminded me so much of one of my RPC's on another site it was awesome. And because the tech used in it was really fun.
