To me, it's the complete opposite. I got way more immersed into Fallout 3 than New Vegas, in terms of story. A lot of that came from when you...pablogonzalez said:although Fallout: New Vegas is built on the same engine as Fallout 3, the story is more immersive. The characterisation is less personal and restircted in New Vegas having you be a "courier" and that opens you to a whole list of possibilities
It's like I'm really on /v/!Daddy Go Bot said:Anyone who tries to make a solid argument as to why Fallout 3 is even a remotely good Fallout game should throw themselves off a bridge.
Broken or not, it doesn't really matter. I get that many people don't like old games, I just don't get why. Maybe I'm just more able to lower my expectations than others (yay me). Or maybe I'm more tolerant to the less than optimal (yay again). Anyway, the whole age thing is just a non issue to me.MrHilter said:Here is the thing, I thought fallout 1 & 2 were broken when they first came out. The gameplay was well below average at the time. Over the years since then gameplay in games has increasingly gotten better which makes old games with bad gameplay seem even worse.
At least it doesn't give you a game over if you're too slow. Fallout 1 did that. It didn't bother me that much, but I can see it being a problem for some.mireko said:My only problem with 2 is how the game starts nagging you if you're not doing the main quest fast enough. I mean, I get why, I just wish it would shut up and let me explore.
I think the reason that Fallout 3 is so popular is because it's a new generation of "gamers" who played it without having played the previous instalments. And there's alot of philosophical, literary and psychological depth in New Vegas that wasn't in 3, at all; I reckon most people completely miss that, and that's where you get comments like "It felt empty."Daddy Go Bot said:Fallout 3 is THE worst Fallout game I've ever had the displeasure of playing (Haven't played the fabled Fallout: BoS mind you). The best Fallout game? It's a tough one but I'm gonna go with Fallout 2.
Dont Forget child killing and slaver :3 and a player who sleeps with a gang bosses wife and gets her pregnent XDTheAmokz said:Ok who just voted fallout: tactics!? Come out! Ill get you!
ahem...
Fallout 2. I doubt there is any other game where your character can be 16 years old mutant killing pornstar.
Really you say? Well I haft to believe you; I read your Thread about it so you'd know; but it did sound... Well "Old School" Sorta speak.MiracleOfSound said:Old World Blues is actually much closer to Fallout 3 than anything else in New Vegas. I was really happy with the amount of secret places to explore - not to mention it's laugh out loud hilarious with by far the best loot and story in a Fallout DLC.Fox KITSUNE said:Fallout 3; hands down. I would say New Vegas but it doesn't appeal to me for somereason. I know it to be fact because of the simple reason there is a new DLC out for it and I'm thinking not to get it (I usually Rush to get these things)
We now have you on the watchlist. Everyone gets to mention that game once in their lives. We're watching you buddy; don't do it again.Richardplex said:Brotherhood of Steel!

*from the sound of being brutally attacked by fallout fans* I'm kidding! I'm sorry for mentioning the Unmentionable game!
I haven't played any other game other than FO3 and NV, because I don't like TBC, so I'm going to say FO3, but not vote as to not scew the results.
