I tend towards the largest handgun I can lay my hands on. In Human Revolution, I'm currently using a 10mm with armour-piercing, extra damage, increased magazines, a laser sight and a silencer. I call her Vera.

I've yet to see any game having this...

So you haven´t played Modern Warfare 2 yet? The M72 Grenadelauncher is in it, and it´s also in probably every Vietnam game ever made. And it does make that awesome sound in real life too...

Im fond of Mini-guns....Lots'a bullets, really quickly, really heavy, really flashy, definately compensating for something...yeha, thats my style alright....Thinking back, I still dont understand the name for them...they're not exactly small....hmmm

For games? Big explosions, guns that are accurate and inflict tons of damage with one shot (not specifically sniper rifles), or guns that don't need to be reloaded often.

Grenade launchers give me a huge boner, but the LMG/whateverthefuck are usually the first I grab.

Sniper Rifles.

I can be just as effective (if not more) than any other infantryman, but I can -y'know- have a sandwich or a soda. Take my time, put a few rounds downrange and not be in much danger of counter-fire.

Always the bolt action with a scope. Preferably Lee Enfield No4 mk 2, or a No4 mk 1 (T). I think they look nice, they are the classic British Rifle and I could legally own one if I could be bothered to go through all the fees and paperwork. Plus in the event of the apocalypse if I ever had to use it I could be as far from whoever or whatever I'm shooting at as possible. I suppose it would be comparatively simple to maintain as well, I'm less likely to end up with a useless pile of metal that I can't figure out how to reassemble.

Are we talking about in games or, in real life? In games I like the guns that we probably won't see for real in our lifetimes, if at all. Like Contra's Spreader, the BFG, the Gravity Gun or, The Fat-Man.

In real life though I don't really care so much for guns and have very little experience with them.

In the real world I stand by my edict that "guns are for sissies", however in gaming the halo 3 Battle rifle will always have a special place in my heart.

Sooo, in the real world logic is your weak point, good to know.

Not exactly, it's more like if you're not playing a video game, and you think you need one, you're probably a push-over , not to mention irresponsible at that.

I have never fired a real gun and know very little about firearms in general.

In games I like the guns with extra kick. Like grenade-launchers, Shotguns and heavy pistols. Basically the ones that make a lot of noise.
