You all know these are scams, right? I ended up paying around !$160.00 US because I gave them my number, and they charged me $10.00 for every "Fun Fact" they sent me. They sent one about every 2 minutes.

Accurate IQ Test [http://www.free-iqtest.net]

Im 13 so....
IQ isn't age related. It's a test of ones ability to solve problems of logic. Very influential in math, influential in science and business, barely influential in arts.

As for me, I voted in the poll, but I'd rather not talk about it.
This is not a real IQ test then, while the pattern recognition and sets are logic, The anagrams and Definition based questions are things that need to be studied.

176 but I also know that when you get into extremely high IQ, IQ tests can't accurately measure IQ.

Edit: I took a real IQ test when I went to a psychologist.

taken 3 different IQ tests and got 3 different results: 117, 124 and 127.
Well.... The first one makes you Master Chief...

I guess you can just ignore the other two. No one questions Master Chief...

High enough to know that IQ doesn't mean anything.
IQ simply shows how good you are at IQ tests.

Meh, they can show how good you are in certain areas (i.e. puzzle solving) making them useful in a sense. You're right that they don't measure intelligence though.

OT: 143

By Mensa standards I believe that labels me a genius ladies and gents.

EDIT: Oh, most got that anyway!

Never said it was, and never said that was the test I took.

Of course, IQ tests are now understood to not be an accurate way of measuring intelligence...
Except, not.
Psychologists use still use IQ tests all the time. Yeah, old ones from the 50s are now considered to be inaccurate, but they've updated them to account for that.

The only people who go on about IQ tests being inaccurate are people on the internet who have just posted their IQ to show of how high it is but still want to be considered modest.
I prescribe to the idea of multiple intelligences. Having taken an IQ test I can say it doesn't test every intelligence. Ala, an IQ test is not an appropriate measure of your intelligence.
the theory of multiple intelligences(9 types)
7 types wiki.

Also, simply because Psychologists use IQ tests "all the time" doesn't make it right.
Just because their may be multiple intelligences doesn't mean that an IQ test can't accurately test what it is designed to test.

You mean one thing when you say "intelligence", psychologists mean something different.
Just because you have a different meaning doesn't mean their test can't accurately test what they mean when they say it.

The IQ test, tests the ability for the subject to rationalize. Their capability for logical process. It tests the 2 testable intelligences out of 7, Visual-spatial and Logical-mathematical. The test work as intended, testing these two abilities. Also:

Definitions of intelligence on the Web:

* the ability to comprehend; to understand and profit from experience

Out of the 7 intelligences, only logical intelligence is required to apply experiences to different situations.

If IQ tests mattered, about 90% of Earths Population could join Mensa.
And yet, Mensa doesn't accept 99% of the population by definition of the IQ test...

Quick, Accurate IQ Test [http://www.free-iqtest.net]

I feel SMRT.

That was also an uncommonly basic and underdeveloped test.

Also, is age a factor? Because I used a fake birthday...

Whenever I take these stupid IQ tests I get between 135 and 145, but I know that these are not true IQ tests and thus do not matter. I wouldn't mind taking an actual IQ test and discovering my true answer.

Maybe thats part of the test? You get points deducted for being dumb enough to actually give them your mobile number, instead of pressing the "Skip" button...

The part where they asked for your social security number should've tipped you off. (Not talking to you Rascarin)

Letting everyone know that the link on the first page is of course a link to an IQ test, but it is not an official real IQ test. Here is a link to one that is actually official.
http://www.highiqsociety.org/iq_tests/
I have an IQ of 130, mine was actually officially measured and it took freaking forever, so many questions which I mostly responded instantly.
