Hey Escapists! Just curious, how does everyone else here dress, and why? Conservative, provocative, casual, etc. Have you ever been put down for your choice? Myself, I try to dress real nice when going to the bars, or parties, but usually just throw on a hoodie and shorts at home. I like to present myself in a professional manner, and I've never run into any problems with it. Does your outward image represent you as a person?

My style of dress is long and flowing, allowing great airflow to certain areas.

Wait.. That wasn't the question was it.

I dress in the same outfit every day for almost every occasion: T-shirt, beige cargo pants, and a zip-up hoodie. Two hoodies during the winter.

My style has evolved through the years, first being just whatever I was comfortable in, which lead to such horrible combinations as a bright blue shirt with khaki jeans and shorts with calf-high socks, but since then have changed to look presentable regardless of scenario. I may not be Job Interview everyday, but at least I'm not sloppy.

Jeans, a baseball tee and cap, tube socks and sneakers. That's pretty much it. I have a watch and a ring too, if those count.

EDIT: Jean jacket if needed.

It's always good to air yourself out, unless you're in the desert.

Punk/Goth/Hip-Hop/Niche is my vote.

More specifically, its a blend of hip-hop aesthetic, bright colors, low-fitted jeans, dope-ass kicks mixed with deathcore/hardcore scene, like small band tees, studded belts, and very shortly, piercings.

That's me.

I wear baggy jeans, a gray T-shirt, and my coat. My special coat. It's a big brown coat from, like, a long time ago (at least before 2000). It's fake leather, and it was made to fit a person about the size of the average car (seriously, I've seen him, he's gigantic). I hated the guy who was its previous owner, but he moved away and forgot his coat. In my closet, somehow...

So one winter I found it, and wore it. Now I wear it throughout Fall and Winter, pretty much everywhere. I can store pretty much everything I might need in it except for all my school books. People say that when they envision me, I'm wearing the coat.

I... I just like coats.

Whoa, digression...

Casual.

I like good fitting clothes. Nice jeans, nice button down shirt and/or sweater. I don't have any printed shirts (bands, stupid sayings, etc) and most of what I wear is either solid color, or striped.

I also like darker, neutral colors, grey, darker blues, brown, white, etc.

I think of myself as fashionable.

8 hours a day are spent in business attire, 8 hours in casual attire and 8 hours naked.

This is averaged over a week, taking weekends into account.

Black cargo pants, a word-and-picture-less black or blue long-sleeved shirt and a black hoodie if it's cold. And it's always long-sleeved. This, along with my introversion, tendency to never smile, and bangs that cover my entire face obviously lead to several people assuming that I am emo and trying to hide cuts on my arms. Which, in turn, lead to me hate and occasionally threaten said people.

Shorts and a t-shirt or sweatshirt. Unless I'm at work. Then "business casual." Though I did throw a tie in the mix at work today just for the hell of it.

Usually cheap at home. If at work smart casual otherwise, cheap is the only way I can explain it.Jeans or shorts/tshirt/runners at home.
Shirt over nice tshirt with black suit pants if at work or going out somewhere nice.

I dress in clothes. That is all. I don't even support the teams I wear or even listen to all the bands I still wear.

I just....clothe myself.

I tend to wear semi-formal button up shirts or bowling shirts with blue jeans and black sneakers. I also have a simple leather watch, a silver celtic ring, and a silver medallion with a wolf on it. In cold weather, I generally wear my leather jacket. I dunno what you'd call my clothing style; it seems artsy enough when you look at it all, but it doesn't scream it like the whole turtleneck and jeans setup.

Point remains that it looks good, so I guess it doesn't really matter what it's classified as.

Edit: If it's any help as a gauge, all my non-bowling shirts come from Van Heusen, which is kind of funny considering that I despise polo shirts. Their button-ups are awesome, though.
