I'm probably one of the most docile people you can meet about 95% of the time. Mostly I just get cynical and sarcastic when I'm pissed off. But my friends know that there are just some lines that you do not cross when I'm around, and if anyone ever does something to really make me see the red mist you's better believe no matter who they were, where we were, or who was watching that I would rip them apart and use their manhood as a punch bag. For example, very recently this guy from my year who's about twice my size was trying it on with a girl from my year. When she let him know she wasn't interested he started getting pretty rough with her. Now in my book any kind of violence or aggression towards a woman is one of the lowest most disgusting things you can do so I wasn't about to just walk away. I demanded that he apologise publicly right there. When he refused I snapped and by the time it had taken four of my friends working together to get me off him he was out cold. And y'know what, I don't care that I'm now in deep shit for it. I don't care that I'm lucky not to be prosecuted and might still get sued. I don't care that many people now think I'm a psycho. I'd do it all again and worse without a second thought. When you are dealing with the sort of people who will hit a woman when she won't give him what he wants violence is the only language they understand.

If this is actually a true story. Good for you. It's refreshing to see someone actually stand up for what they believe in. and guys who get rough with women deserve castration and a massive beating. if not straight execution in the most painful way, like the medieval wheel.

Defense of yourself or others is what I would say most of the time, however, there are probably a few people out in the world who could use a good ass kicking; make them rethink the way they act or treat other people. (This would be a rare thing but there are some real assholes out there).

I don't advocate violence of any sort however I think its safe to say its fair to use it in defense of yourself or others. Of course, even then, within reason. You can't beat a guy to death just because he threw a punch at you.

I believe saying violence is never the answer is a falsity. There are times when it is necessary and, sadly, the only solution.

Seriously, though, I'd say it's okay to kick ass in the defense of yourself and others. Or if someone's deliberately pissing you off. Or when someone's looking at you funny.

To defend your self and others, and also when provoked verbally, but to an extent there. If some little snot thinks they are the baddest mother fucker in town and is talking shit about you and to you, kick their ass. Go for it, no matter how easy. Sometimes people need to be put in their place through violence. Human nature. Walking in the hallways in my school, upperclassmen try to scare us freshmen. I always call them on it, they leave, if they come back and talk up a storm, i hit them in face. I have yet to have to take things that far though.

Whenever someone is intentionally threating your life, liberty, or property without due process of law. Then I find it is ok to use violence if you give one warning that you will fight back. If they are willing to attack you, they are willing to take the risks and accept the punishment

Either in the gym sparring or when its absolutely necessary. Don't go looking for a fight like an arse, try to avoid them if you can. However if its in a situation where you can't escape it and your life, face or pride is in a lot of trouble... Then its time for you to pull every thing you've got and take the attacker out. If you can't get round them, go through them.

It should be used as a last option.

If someone is asking for it i.e. threatening me or someone else for no reason yes. If I have a pistol on me and someone is robbing a gas station that I am in and they come toward me or threaten to shoot someone, I will drop them without hesitation.

Whn walking down an open feild, the world begins to spin with crazy music and you are forced into a confrontation with x-number of strange creatures. The arse kicking can proceed then, and always then.

Oh goodness, I think I love you. Really, this made me laugh far too much.

OT: I'm fairly pacifistic. The only acceptable time to use violence when there is no other choice- in defense of yourself or others. And even then, you should always stop as soon as you can.

At least buy me dinner and a movie before you proclaim you love me. Im not THAT easily won over. ;P

I wouldn't like to die, but I wouldn't use violence to prevent it. I'm pretty adamant about my pacifism.

Alright, next question: why?

I don't love violence, but if you try to kill me, I have more then made up my mind that fighting back is the best choice.
