Well, in ireland we have the 'leaving certificate' in place of SAT's, AS or whatev, and when you fail your allowed take it again. Im sure its the same over there - it would be stupid that if you failed the test your whole school life lead up to that youd just have to be a hobo.

Ok so I am doing my AS level exams this week and well I haven't written down anything all year... and I need a backup plan for when it all goes wrong! Suggestions? Or is it not too late to become a phenomenal success and get straight A's. Anyone else out there fearing utter complete failure at AS or is it just me?
What AS levels are you taking? If you're bad at exams, the best thing to do is get some old papers, and do them in the time you'll be given in the real exam. Work out beforehand how long you should spend on each question, and then stick to it, even if you feel you haven't written all you needed to. Good luck!

AS - Law, Politics, Sociology - AQA exam board (the hardest hehe)
And a business studies AS which I got a D in but compared to my mates its really good :p (horrible teacher, she tries but she just fails, bought her A levels I bet!) I get to retry tho and I am more confident... although it costs like 15 quid!

You must take my approach as well: never ever study.

Try doing that. Don't worry until the test is right in front of you and then everything comes naturally. Even if you do fail, at least you tried and there is (almost) always next year.

As of why I am supporting Max-On, It works. That and he threatend pain if I did not assist with marketing details.

Hmmm, alright you'll do fine, don't worry. Study hard, I know people always say it but very few people who get the advice actually do it. Me included. Hope you do well dude, I want to be a physcist and dam it's going to be difficult. But I shall not give in! Never give in, NEVER SURRENDER!

Oh yah, do your best everything works out, that is if you want it too.

No, it's MaxTheReaper's ego. I don't know how it fits through the internet.

No trouble Mr Max, he sounds like he causes trouble for the establishment.

For humanities/English exams you can likely blag it. As long as you can put across an explanation for your point of view you'll get at least some marks. For sciences, start revising.

Edit: Just read your subject list, I'm sure you can blag everything but the law. It's all just about opinion.

Sorry mate AS/A Levels are the stepping stone to Universities in Britain.

Thats basically all they are for, I didn't do aswell as expected in my A level exams (long story) but the university I wanted to go to had a "make us your first choice and we guarantee you a place." The cost of everything as always is stupid and after taking a gap year out to think on my position i've decided I won't bother going. I've got my self a job working in a govermental department, working with people double may age who've been to university and still earn same money as me, i've never been happier and have no debt unlike my co-workers. Just because everyone is doing A-levels/going to uni doesn't mean it's for everyone. Saying that however, as your currently doing your A-levels you may aswell stick with them, you've already put a year into it. I basically felt the same if i'm honest. Keep at it, at the end of the day there are always choices. Not that everyone would agree with me.

My school offered to give the money back if you get higher grades, have a look into whether or not your school does the same.

That's kind of your own fault buddy... Wish I could help but knowing your situation I probably wouldn't anyways. Learn this lesson and better luck next time: or sacrifice your conscience and pride and cheat... your choice!

OK, I'm gonna take the hugely irresponsible option;

Do your best in the exams, seriously, do it (I did bugger all revision and ended up with a B and 2 C's 6 years ago. If the papers are to be believed, it's even easier now!). Then if you fail, step back, re-evaluate where your life is going and take a year out.

I'll come clean and say I did bugger all revision for my GCSEs, AS's, A Levels AND a year of Uni. Now I'm a trainee games designer, so miracles CAN happen :)

Cheers mate, what I needed to hear. First choice or no selections is the dictionary definition of bullsh*t, but it sounds like you came out the winner here gz mate

Revise your ass off. I thought I was going to screw up my AS exams, but I sat down and revised my arse off and did very well. I did the same for my A levels, and now I'm at the university of my choice, doing the subject I love. Your poll reeks of you having given up. Don't be foolish. Even if you do badly, blaming it on the fact you didn't try doesn't make it any better; you're setting yourself up for defeat.
