So, I had all four wisdom teeth removed earlier this year. I'm sitting here eating ranch sunflower seeds wondering if any one else has gone through this pain in the ne- teeth (badum-tish) that I have endured. I felt like I wouldn't find anyone. Then, I remember I have a bunch of people right on the Escapist who will help me figure that out!

So, Escapee's did you have your wisdom teeth removed? They still in there? Tell me. Please. I'll be your friend. And Kirby will too, see... (b'.')b

I haven't noticed any yet. They should be there, but they haven't bothered me yet, so I haven't really checked.

I still have all mine, and they are causing me some major headaches. Getting them removed is going to be super expensive though...

my top two were removed along with the two premolars directly behind the canines in order to make room for my canines to shift back into line with my other teeth.

As a child i had vampire fangs so prominent then could be seen through my upper lip.

The bottom two need to be removed shortly so my bottom teeth aren't quite so crowded.

Yanked out.....tooth by tooth.... excruciatingly.....blood everywhere.

When I woke up from the procdure, I wobbled around and said "Immmfuuiiinnnee" and went on to make jokes while I was high.

That wasn't the bad thing.

On New Year's Eve is when it really started to kill. My cheeks looked like the love child between Droopy and that fat villian from Assassin's Creed II. Plus, I had something in my eye that scratched my cornea all day long. I remember watching the marathon of The Twilight Zone through blurry visage and an ass-spanking pain right in my gums. Plus, Legion didn't come out yet, so I heard that stupid-ass commercial about 256 times that day.

Anyway, my nice little horrific tale. Hope you feel better soon.

The week after I got all mine out was one of the best weeks of my life. I beat Mass Effect twice while on oxi-codine.

I don't understand why getting your wisdom teeth out is such a big deal. I had all 4 removed. I went in, went under, and was home 2 hours later with no pain or problems.

Haven't noticed any. That's a good thing I guess since I won't have to go through the process of getting them removed.

Getting mine yanked at the end of next month. One on the bottom's pushing through, and another on the top is pushing a molar on an angle.

I have anxiety issues, especially with blood, so I'm getting it done at the hospital so they can knock me out completely - God forbid I twitch when I see them coming at me with pliers.

Currently, mine are under my gums, waiting to erupt and (if left there) fuck up some rather expensive orthodontic work.

I'm sorry... that's horrible. Though the image of a love child of Droopy and the fat Assassin's Creed II villain made me chuckle, not that I looked much better.

Mine are fine now, taken out a little over a month ago.

Still all in me. 3 are visible, 1 still in gums. 1 out of the 3 is somewhat impacted(about 45 degrees angled forwards by the feel) but no problems here.

Ain't grown in yet.
I know I have them. Saw x-rays. They should come in within the next few years.
I am really hoping they don't cause any complications.

Mine are starting to form, but seeing as my molars are kind of buggered... they'll probably just replace those and I'll be fine.

That was apparently the point of the things, actually, to replace our teeth when they broke.
Of course, modern humans don't eat stones and meat at the same time now, so, they're less useful.

I have three already grown out and the fourth one is coming along nicely. Say if all of my wisdom tooth have already grown out will they cause problems later on in life?

All 4 of em were removed. To date the only time someone with a medical background put me down and cut me open.

As for the pain factor, I couldn't eat anything but soup for the next 3 day's.
Not due to actual pain, more because I simply couldn't open my freaking jaw.

I'm getting all 4 of mine taken out day after tomorrow. This thread is making me scared :(. Someone lie to me and tell me it will be all puppies and sunshine.
