Poll: Where do you buy your games/DVDs/blu-rays?

Amazon for me. I normally buy new, besides when the price difference is too much for me to ignore the cheaper version. But since I got the free year of Amazon Prime for being a college student and then 50% off renewing it, I buy a lot from there. The free two-day shipping is enough to save me the hassle of driving to buy something (which would cost about $6 in gas alone since I live 30 minutes away from town).

Plus, there are no 'local' places around me. The closest is 45 minutes away. The rest are places like Meijers, Wal-mart, and similar chain stores.

Games mostly from Amazon and Steam, but some from other online retailers and some from retailers around here. I can usually get some great deals on DVDs and I have found quite a few bargains in my local retailers, though I rarely go there unless I have some electronics to buy.

Usually amazon, sometimes I'll want something on the day of release, then I will go to wherever is cheapest/closest usually tesco supermarket or Gamestation.

It's been years since I bought a DVD. It basically stopped the moment I got a Netflix subscription.

Mostly Amazon, free shipping, no sales tax, usually cheaper and don't have to deal with human wastes of space at the store.

I don't really buy DVDs/Blurays, I rent them.

I buy my games from ShopTo.net.

The prices of their games are lower to begin with, they have a reward card scheme that increases the more games you buy, they deliver for free and they've never got a game to me late.

Never been happier that I stopped using that shite they call GAME.

Amazon, GameStop (only occasionally, I rarely buy console games) or at the local used books/games/movies store, McKay's. I got MGS: Peace Walker for $8.00 along with AKIRA on VHS (I think I've got a working player somewhere) for a buck.

For games, I usually buy from Gamestop, since I have one less than 5 minutes from my house.

I don't really have a set place to buy DVDs, I usually just get them wherever.

Usually Amazon if I buy online, but I rarely but games online though. Usually it's a local used entertainment store or a retail store. I go to Gamestop only if the other two stores don't have what I'm looking for.

I'm a big movie fan, and I fortunately have a nearby new/secondhand DVD/CD/Book store called Rasputin's Music. It's a very small chain that's here in mid-upper California. Prices there are normally quite inexpensive for some pretty great things, even rare out of print DVDs. It's great because its one of those stores that you never know what you're gonna find. I found all the old 2 disc versions of the first 10 Star Trek movies all between 4 to 8 dollars, many of which go for noticeably more used on Amazon. About half of my collection comes from the place, I love it.

But enough ass-kissing, I also use Amazon for old things I can't find at Rasputin's or elsewhere. If its a last-gen game, I normally check Gamestop to see if they have it under 10 bucks.

I just about never buy games when they're first released anymore. The last game I got at launch was Skyward Sword, and that's because I needed a Wiimote Plus. Before that, the last game I got at launch was Arkham Asylum. Too costly for me, and if its not a Wii game, odds are its gonna have DLC that I'm gonna want sometime in the future. If its a big-profile game, I either wait until a Game of the Year edition with all the stuff on it, or I wait until its old and cheap enough and get the DLC immediately. I hate paying full price for a game that isn't finished. That's why I waited a while to play Mass Effect 2. Got it cheaper new, then got all the plot relevant DLC.

I'm a patient gamer.
