Seeing as non of the listed stores is anywhere near my country (except of course amazone.com)

I usually buy either;
Steam for pc goodness
or Nedgame for my local store/online pre-order.

i go to best buy

A. because i have never pre ordered from them and got the...sorry we're sold out....no shit i pre ordered for a fucking reason gamestop.....

B. because they normally give a 10-15$ discount on 1st day purchases with game guide (yes i still buy them)

C. because i am a platinum rewards member so i damn near always get 10-12% off my game purchases from the coupons they mail me twice a month.

I buy my games from a locally owned store that opened up about a year and a half ago. They sell all sorts of retro games and they get in new games that they think will be a big hit. A couple of college guys that I'm pretty sure are in school for some sort of game design. They will talk to you about any game they've played, make recommendations, and all sorts of stuff. Plus discounts for being college students or military, and the best trade ins in town, you can get the whole amount of trade in value for credit, or walk out with half in cash if you want. It's a great place, and I know the money is going to somewhere local, so I'm good.

90% of physical transactions are at Best Buy, but lately, almost all of my purchases have been made digitally via Steam and XBL.

In the UK, I buy games from Amazon, Play.com, TheHut.com and Steam. Sometimes Tesco's.

I usually order games online from Gamestop or Amazon, but I will sometimes go to the local Fred Meyers if there is a new game that I want. I also occasionally peruse local used game places, but since the closest one is around 15 or so miles away, well... I don't go to them often.

I buy my games from a bit of everywhere. New from a handful of online gaming store or the bigger local stores or amazon, used from friends or the local antiquarian (is that the correct word?) or through forums. And occasionally something from Good Old Games and Xbox Live.

I used to buy and trade from GAME/Gamestation (UK game shops) often but they started to get too expensive and not give enough for trading, so I often buy from Amazon when games are on offer on a regular basis.

Steam, Superstore (I get 10% employee discount), ebay, GOG, or pirates bay for those games that you cannot buy anymore.

Gamestop for my console games. For my PC games GOG or GamersGate, and Amazon if I want a physical copy.

I buy most of them from the same webshop, but I check a certain page for comparisons. Physical stores typically add around 30% on the pricetag of new releases, so Gamestop rarely gets any of my money.

I get them online or from Gamestop, but I prefer Amazon. They do better deals.
