Poll: Where do you end an internet conversation?

Basically when I feel I'm getting too passionate over words across the internet. A little bit of internal reflection (Is this worth dragging through the mud because I care about it THAT much?) usually results in me answering 'No' and just disengaging entirely.
Some people relish, lets be polite, forum 'debate'. I do not. If I'm not having fun while posting, I generally just avoid continuing. I've got a lot of things to dwell on in real life...

Usually I end when the person I am debating with becomes patronizing, insulting, or accuses me of something or another. If they are going to stoop that low to try and win a debate or argument they don't deserve to debate or argue with me. After that I usually add them to some type of ignore list just so I don't see anymore of their comments.
For the other forum I'm part of, I talk my points and the discussion goes from there. After a few back and forth replies, I read the last post and just end there. Both of us got to say something and it was short enough of a conversation that we can remember each other points. If it comes to a point where I want to stop, I'll let them know that I have nothing else to add to the conversation, and sometimes will offer thanks for anything I got out of it.
I would do the same here, but nobody notices or knows me. Only time I got in semi-long conversation was in a Critical Miss comment section, and I just dropped out due to things getting uncomfortable very fast.

If they just repeat the same thing for a while I'm happy ignoring them and letting them be wrong.
If you've ever tried posting on Reddit you would understand that this is the only way to deal with things. Disagreeing with the OP simply makes you wrong, regardless of evidence, common sense or lack of rebuttal.

This is exactly what I meant. I don't think I expressed it well in the OP, but I didn't intend the focus entirely on arguments.EHKOS said:

Usually before it begins. Putting thirty minutes into any post that's just going to be met with someone who'll dismiss what you say with a snarky jab at your intelligence or what have you really makes you feel like posting anything of substance isn't worth it. People aren't interested in arguing or discussing in good faith and so you don't feel like you can learn anything.

On the plus side I have respect for the people who are more willing to deal with shit than I am to have those arguments. Reading some of your guy's posts can be really informative even if I disagree and am just too lazy to ever make it known.

I end an internet conversation when I feel like it, or to be specific when I've said my main piece and feel nothing other guy said would change much.
Tbh I consider myself more of a hit and run poster anyways, I tend to say something perhaps mildly unorthodox or controversial or just to call BS on some statement someone said (I rarely post just to say how much I agree with everyone, except the times I do) then GTFO regardless of reception or if I'm quoted (I don't even bother to check my inboxes for the most part and let the unread notifications pile up. Quote me or not, I don't care one damned bit).
Every now and then I'll entertain some form of debate, especially if the other person seems reasonable and pleasant to talk to. But otherwise I'd rather not let myself get dragged down into one.

Depends, if I like talking with the person I'll drag it out until I feel I'm making the person uncomfortable since I don't know how to end them, if I don't like talking to the person I'll try to end it quickly but can't not respond if they ask me something, if it's too much of a bother I will just stop.
As for getting quoted eh, it's always interesting to see what people have to say to you but I don't expect it or necessarily want it but it has led to many nice conversations so I don't mind.
