Jurassic Park III already murdered the franchise as far as I'm concerned (The Lost World was arrested for assaulting the franchise, but since III killed it, it's no longer around to press charges).

I think the Jurassic Park series has had a good run anyway. How many movies can you think of that stayed good after a 4th movie?
