Stalker and Half-Life

Stalker for the whole mood of the series.

Half-Life for the story and the way it tells the story without having cut-scenes with talking heads.

While I enjoy Halo's story, its mostly the story OUTSIDE the games that interests me. Gameplay-wise, Infinity Ward's Call of Duty is my favorite. (Treyarch... not so much)

For FPS I like Call of Duty. For TPS I like Starwars: Battle Front II.

I also like Borderlands and Mass Effect, though neither is completely a FPS/TPS game.

Sheesh not all of us hate on Halo and CoD. They have every right to be there.

For me, definitely Halo, it was that series that seriously got me into FPSs, and I have always considered it to have the best FPS mechanics out of all the shooters I played.

It may not be a series, but my favorite TPS is Star Wars Battlefront 2.

Oh c'mon, this has to be the biggest collection of Valve fanboys EVER... and if you are going to ask for peoples most loved FPS's then it would be a good idea to not use the 8 poll options, because that isn't really all shoters ever is it? Now if he had said 'which of these is in your opinion the best shooter ever' then that would be fine.

MW2 for fps but I predict in the future it will be either bioshock 2 or MAG.
for TPS it is going to be uncharted 2 by this afternoon.
