Which dc movie would you want to see most. A justice league movie is coming and so will these probably so which would you want most?
Man of steel is next year and Ive heard that he will be the main jewel on the jl crown(not m words) so I didnt bother to list him.

Also tell me who you would cast, a possible plot/villain, how it would fit with the jl, and anything of how youd want it.
(these are the current jla members)

I personally (and Im not joking) want an Aquaman movie as I believe it can be dont right and black manta is one of the coolest villain of the legion of doom.

I would have to say either Flash, Cyborg or Wonder Woman however I think they would be all really hard to do without seeming silly in translation. I think Cyborg translates the best but he is also a good bit less known to the average person. Flash could be really good but the story would be tricky to write without it coming down to why didn't he just run in and win before anyone knew what happened. Wonder Woman oddly (I am not a fan of wonder woman) is the one I think would be coolest and best done right but also the hardest to pull off by a long long shot without looking really silly.

Cyborg? You mean that guy from teen titans? Is he really that memorable for being anything more than a rip off of the six million dollar man? If we're going with teen titans, why not Raven? That would make people who want a female character happy, and it would be really cool to how a real life movie involving her powers would work.

That said, I voted for flash. Can Ryan Reynolds play both the Flash and Deadpool though? I'll forgive him for the Green Lantern if he becomes the Flash or Deadpool.

I thought wonder woman would be easiest.
She starts out on themyscar(however its spelled)
The guy steve crashes on the island
she saves him from the others as she likes him
she gets him off the island by agreeing to be banished
her mother gives her her armor before she reluctantly makes her leave
wonder woman visits the modern world with steve(hilarity ensues) she gets into fights, wonders why women act the way they do, gets into fights etc
ancient mythological evil awakes and attacks the island and wonder woman returns to fight it
wonder woman finds out puts on the armor and steve flies her back to the island
wonder woman dukes it out in cool fight
amazons thank her but by code she must leave again

somwhat similar to THOR but throw a little god of war in there. Also and this is very important DONT MAKE THE ARMOR STUPID and CAST A GIRL WITH MUSCLE TONE like the girl from haywire but maybe somewhat better at acting though it could be her.

Cyborg replace martian on the new dc jla.
Also I think ryan reynolds needs to stay away from comic book films for a long time, hes had his fill and I believe there are people more suited. I just dont find him believable or even really that good of an actor.

Though I do believe Raven wouldve been better for the jla or my fav girl zatanna they needed add some ethnicity.

Wonder Woman, damn it it's been seventy years. Let the most prominent female character in all of comics finally get her own big budget movie!

From what little I know about him, the Blue Beetle would make for a very interesting movie. Unfortunately, the character can't even sustain his own comic. There's no way the general public would go to see a movie when comic nerds won't even buy the books.

It's actually a tough call for me to think of a DC hero I'd want to see. Batman and Green Lantern are both good choices, but they've also both been done very recently. That leaves me with Wonder Woman, Aquaman, and The Flash for heroes on the list that I'm even mildly interested in, and really, I don't see any of them translating well to a live action film. Out of the three, Aquaman is the most promising for a cool movie, and I just don't see the character having enough box office draw for it to be worth it.

Nightwing, Birds of Prey (the proper lineup of Huntress, Black Canary and Oracle, maybe others), possbily Zatanna.

The big names, IMHO, are rather stale and boring, it's the spin offs and sidekicks that are more interesting.

An OtT almost perfect hero is less interesting than the person that tries to be like them.

I could get behind this, so long as Aquaman is more
this,
than this.

NO
I actually prefer the orange suit and never really cared for shirtless hookman as that could be anybody (namor comes to mind) aquaman wears an orange and green and has a trident and thats aquaman. You wouldnt have captain america not wear red white and blue so dont f it up by not staying true. I know that it kinda worked for justice league cartoon but he was barely in that, I prefer this
as he appears in young justice(I can take or leave the beard)
more examples
Also if memory serves that was the aquaman that spawned one of the worst videogames of all times and added to his already horrible rep from superfriends.

I believe Aquaman would draw people in by sure curiosty and if advertised right(by which I mean make it look cool) it has as good as chance as THOR or CAP AMERICA did.

The problem with that is the audience has to both buy into both a fantasy and a realistic setting at the same time making the themes feel very mix matched taking people out of the movie. Then we have to have her conveniently being so desperate to leave that she abandons everything she loves at the flick of a wrist and goes and gets banished from the island.

Then she will go the modern setting and we have her being really silly which might make us really not take her seriously when time comes as she just spent half the movie being a girl dressed in half a top and panties in high heels running around a city like a ditz. Then we have her conveniently learn about some monster which conveniently breaks out conveniently right after she leaves. Not to mention this while movies plot events plays out like film basics 101 where things are so straight forward I don't even need to see it to know exactly what is going to happen.

I mean I guess some people would like this but it would come off as a okish movie that really never stands out or does anything special and at the end of the day is incredibly forgettable.

worked for thor is all Im sayin, they found a balance.
she wouldnt be half naked... shell be in the white roman outfits they wear until she gets modern clothes (not a fuckin top or heels and she wont run around like a ditz)shell just make commentary on modern life compared to her ways as an amazon and then eventually changes into the armor.
there will be a reason why she learns of the trouble I was just being quick.
Also who cares if its basic, basic is good, it worked for the other marvel movies as they were just as basic but they made up for it with likeable characters, design and acting.

but terrys batman and nightwing are similar in many say for the suit.
but still I dont see a beyond movie happening until they get the justice league in motion.

Preferably a Batman Beyond film (fuck haters it better happen) or a Zatanna film. A magical stage performer who fights crime with actual magic disguised as tricks?

Sorta worked for Thor while I know most enjoyed the movie I also know a good few people who got so bored they feel asleep in the theater and I even remember watching it with some friends and we got board and turned it off cause nothing really happens and my friends were big Thor fans. Also if you look at Thor they were lucky to pull it off in fact Green Lantern failed for some of the very same reasons that Wounder Woman could fail.

Also when I was referencing her clothes I was talking about her traditional outfit which translates poorly out of comics.

Not saying it can't work just saying it wouldn't be easy and very easy to screw up. Batman and Superman tend to work better than most because they lend themselves to a non fantasy setting instead so they don't have to share multiple themes. This is also why X-men and Spiderman work well but Fantastic Four has a hard time.

XD I can actually kinda see how you would mess it up cause the bodies are similar but I do have to agree with you I love me some beyond but he wouldn't translate well without having a batman timeline already established.

Green Lantern failed for many reasons
It was grounded not in reality but in this campy faux reality
It showed him as a kid for no reason doing stupid things like chasing his bus and shouting nooooooooooooooooo seein his dad blow up.
a horribly done uber fast cliche romance
had an wesome sinestro and kilowog but brushed them aside for more romance bleh
has a villain that does nothing but give rise to an uber monster that he shouldnt have faced for a long time but he beats it like nothing.

It shouldve taken a nod from green lantern first flight, take it slow and easy and real.
It worked for batman begins
it worked for all the marvel films
it works...

also the villain wouldnt be that great, it probably be ares as thats alway a villain for her and he takes over the island like scar does in the lion king.
and she and steve wouldnt be all goo goo gaga, it be like thor where they just learn to care for each other. The reason she leaves is because no man has been on the island in her lifetime(she learns they arent bad) and doesnt want to see him die as she believes its wrong and pointless (shows she has strong morals)and she is kicked off by rule even though her mother doesnt wish and thats why she gives her the armor to protect her in the modern world.
she slightly resents saving but know its right and he tries to make up for it.
ares sees the armors gone and decides to take over or send someone to take over. I could go on...

Thor worked because its set up, youll probably like thor 2 better but the first movie always needs to show them before they become the hero yknow so you appreciate it when they choose/learn to be the hero. but if theyre automatically the hero its boring, but thor I feel was well paced as you did see him with his powers at first also there still places to go while green lantern went from 0 to 60 and has nothing left.
