Poll: Which Eeveelution would you chose?

For those of you who do not know, Eeveelution is a common term describing the Pokemon Eevee's many evolved forms. So far Eevee has a total of 7. So, given an Eevee and the option, which evolution would you chose to have. (And preferably why)The reason I brought this up is I always thought that Eevee would be a great starter for a Pokemon game, however I doubt this will ever be the case.

EDIT: I am aware of Eevee being a starter Pokemon in XD, but I am talking about a standard handheld version.

Well, I would pick Espeon, but it doesn't seem to be up there. And Eevee was the starter Pokemon in XD:Gales of Darkness for the Gamecube, so it has happened.

Umbreon as it is my favourite Johto Pokemon.

Also got it in shiny in Pokemon Black legit. Prefer it shiny to it's original form

yes, but your were giving the impression that eevee had never been a starter in any pokemon game (you hadn't specified handheld's in the OP) which was not the case.

plus, if it wasn't for some impatient rival in yellow, you would have had Eevee as a starter then as well.

Ever since I got more used to talking on chat boards, its hard to read Pokemon XD without reading it as Pokemon [Laughing with crossed eyes].

Anyway, I would say Vaporeon is my first choice. Lots of HP, wish support, Sp. Atk-ing killer. Water Absorb (soon to be Hydration in the dream world). There's just not enough that can be said for this eevolution.

The pokemon is clearly designed as a starter also. Instead of dumping your companion on you before you have even battled, you can get an overview of pokemon types in general before making the choice what type you want as your main poke.

Yes. I know, thats why I edited that fact in there. And it does not matter if your rival chose eevee in that game, because he is technically not a starter unless the player has access to use one.

I've always liked Flareons. Fire types were hard to come by back in the Kanto days.
