Ok, let's say I DON'T get game of the year edition of Fallout 3, and I already have Broken Steal and Point lookout, what shall I get next.

I'm leaning to Mothership Zeta, but I want something with lots of stuff to do, and long, and fun.

I may get them all one day, but which one deserves my money the most

EDIT: yes, weapons are good, but I also want something that is...FUN

Then why not just get them all? They all of something to offer to the main game get them all and explore each scenario.

Operation anchorage totally changes the game and has the best loot in the end, it feels more like an fps for the time you are playing it than an rpg because it takes away looting and the worry of ammo.

I would not recommend that you get Mothership Zeta, it's pretty boring and linear. Only get it if you really like Mothership Zeta. Between the Pitt and Anchorage, it's pretty much up to you. The Pitt's got some great weapons like the auto axe and the silenced assault rifle (I forgot its name). Anchorage has interesting gameplay though where you take control of a squad and you can get the Chinese stealth suit.

Honestly, all three that you don't have are, well, mediocre would be what I'd call them if I was feeling generous. I found Mothership Zeta tremendously boring (the fun in Fallout for me comes from exploring the massive world, but Mothership Zeta is locking you in a series of linear hallways killing the same boring enemies again and again. Operation Anchorage has the same basic problem, and some others as well, but it's got the best loot, especially if you like to play as a stealth character.

Of those three The Pit probably has the "best" gameplay, best here being a relative term. If I were you, I'd just skip out on all of these expansions unless you've got your heart set on getting all the achievements or if you're not too close to the end of the game and will actually have a chance to use the loot from these expansions in some of the more fun parts of the game.

They all have there Pros and Cons, but in my opinon you should get Mothership Zeta.

1 - You'll get a slew of XP
2 - You'll get a slew of alien weapons (Big Plus if you invested in Energy Weapons Skill)

Since you didn't get it I don't wanna spoil the rest it for you but theres also
Gems you can sell for A ton of caps, Alien Apoxy that fixes everything that you carry which can be very useful, You'll meet some interesting NPCs that can offer som new outfits (if they die or you go kill crazy)and some rare weapons; I forget the name but theres this prototype Plasma Pistol that does 90 damage

I mean yeah the story was alittle of a let down but the Loot was worth it.

Just my opinion...

[small]but if you can afford it GET THEM ALL!!![/small]

no don't go for zeta, you will lose your chance at a second alien blaster (find the crash site if you haven't already) If you missed your chance at the T51-B combat armor try Anchorage since it will give you a glitched high-powered armor that never needs repair, as well as a really awesome sniper rifle that sends enemies flying...
but I'd lean towards the pitt, it has a very unique quest that has no clear-cut answer to good or evil (I accidentally played for the evil side because I felt more sympathy for them then the so-called "good guys") and it provides some good replay value and the most powerful melee weapon in the game.

but if you do what I did and get lost a lot, you will miss all the good gear and not be able to go back. so if you go there be sure to final the "demon robot pony room" it's pretty awesome.

I'd say the Pitt, but I'd be biased as I absolutely adored the Pitt.
Was good fun if you ask me, and I enjoyed it more than I enjoyed Zeta.

Oh Crap your right! When I first found that room I was getting ready for that damn thing to come alive and chase me around the room, I hit the VATS button every 2 secounds.

FYI: Yeah to the OP, if you get ZETA check every corner, slowly and surely because you might miss some goodies.

mothership zeta:
pros:
-energy weapons
-house for player to live in
-alien apoxy and biogel.

cons:

-house is destroyed and destroys the meaning of having a house in space. you want AWAY from the wasteland trash, not bring it up with you.
-90% of the ship is closed after you get it as a house.
-the only way to get back to mothership zeta is by teleport beacon at the ass end of nowhere.
- house has no bed, and no bonuses found in, say, the tenpenny suite or megaton house like a chemistry set or infirmary.
-long, tedious, not fun at all.

the pitt:
pros:
-ammo press
-owning a city.

cons:
-ammo press is useless since ammo comes in the bucket fulls.
-city does NOTHING and doesnt even recognize you as the mayor.
-the city still looks like crap.
-you have to collect 100 bars to get anything good from the DLC.
- the DLC doesn't pull you in for fun, it keep you in the pitt by force until you complete it.
operation anchorage:
pros:
-guass rifle comes back.
-chinese stealth suit
-big and lots of explosions if your into the halo kinda thing.

cons:
-acts more like MGS than fallout, steps all over lore.
-the chinese stealth suit and guass rifle cannot be repaired as far as i know.
-you cannot head back to anchorage. one time deal to act like a spy.
Seems like mothership zeta has the most pros.

Mothership I found awful, the aliens look like
aliens. No, I'm serious, but what I mean is, they look like the "traditional" aliens, which I found extremely bland and boring
.

Anchorage is ok, but it's a tad short and with little story value. It's okayish, good fun, but still out of the three I'd recommend...

The Pitt. First off, warning, it's extremely depressing surroundings, so if you're not into that, go for Anchorage, it's nice and colourful (am not being condescending, it's one aspect I enjoyed much more in Anchorage as it was sort of the "bright spot" of the three). However, it's got the best story out of the three that will leave a mark on you. Perhaps not a nice mark, but you'll remember the DLC for a while unlike the others.

The Pitt if you want a DLC with an awesome setting and a cool storyline. If you just want toys to play with, get Anchorage. DO NOT waste your time with Zeta.

The Pitt, it has the best in terms of story and gameplay out of those 3 but Anchorage comes in a close second. Personally I hated Mothership Zeta, something about it just rubbed me the wrong way

Zeta is horribly tedious. Out of all the three you're missing I'd reccomend the Pitt solely for being the last DLC that feels like Fallout 3 even though all three are lackluster.

Zeta and Anchorage play in almost the exact same way too, so go for Pitt if you want a more unique dlc and if you're into new melee weapons.

Also to the poster who said the chinese stealth armor can't be repaired: Recon armor repairs it.

Well it's your choice between Zeta and Anchorage, but I would pick Zeta because I thought it was more lenghty even though it was rather linear.

I take it you share my dissatisfaction about
The fact that sally (I think that was her name) says "the boss alien is really mean!, you might have to kill him. so then I'm all prepped for a massive battle against a giant muti-tentacled 30 foot tall alien blob with possibly an exposed brain, so i run through killing all the alien grunts (totally fine with that if their boss would be huge) so i make it to the end and wipe out a room full of alien baddies with my gatling laser and then see a mission complete sign pop up that says I killed the caption who had less heath and a weaker gun that most grunts.
my reaction.

F-BOMB!
