Poll: Which Final Fantasy ?

Hi while opening this discussion im currently downloading disk 1 of ff8.I began reading some of the comments about what people thought of the game,they all had obviously downloaded
ff8 but nearly all commented that ff7 was there favorite.I personally love all the psx Final fantasys but after ff10 i felt there was a decline from what made final fantasy what it is.

Anyway what i would like you to comment is what is your favorite/least favorite FF was and include a moment a certain spell,summon,character,minigame. Will look forward to your comments,most of my mates just flat out say ff7 is best and thats it ( I prefer ff8 as a whole game but ff7 story was so much more memorable)

Six is my all time favorite, Nine is a close second, Ten is third, 12 is fourth, Seven is firmly in fifth place, Four fall is at number six and Eight is a very distant seventh.

FF7's story, characters, environments and overall everything was and is more memorable to me, and I get happier memories from my childhood thinking about FF7, rather than FF8.

I liked VII. But it was also the first one I played.

IX was cool too.


They also helped me learn Roman Numerals.

My favorite is VI, but I have fond memories of VII, VIII, and IX. I played through X but wasn't that impressed (except for Ixion's electro bubbles, which look really cool), and I'm going through XII now.

To be honest I like all of 7-12 very much (not 11). 7 obviously has a special place as the first I played, but I have fond memories of all of them (I still own and play all of them too). I voted FFX because it's the one I got into the most and I've spent most time playing I think. It's almost ridiculous how in-depth the battle system is and how many challenges people have done.

Ah very well,

I love Final Fantasy 6 because it has the most interesting (and large) cast of characters in any Final Fantasy game. Terra, Celes, Sabin, Locke, Edgar, they all rock. It was also the last game that Amano really worked on and probably has the coolest examples of his work.

It also has some of the best moments in the series, the Opera Scene, The Floating Continent, The Poisoning of Doma and the Phantom Train... so much awesome!

Ff6 for reasons stated by others plus it has the song the Decisive battle, one of my all time favorite song in a game. 9 is a close second. If I could ever get my self to beat it , after that FF4 for a great story and I really liked Cecil.
