I quite enjoyed the original Final Fantasy Tactics. It had a good story, plenty of fun and powerful optional characters, and a very clever point in a timeline. I need to get a PSP so I can play War of the Lions.

Final Fantasy Tactics!!!!

Unappreciated little GEM of video game storytelling.

I don't count Tactics as part of the "main" FF line. It's too good for that. Although the people of Ivalice have l...i...t...t...l...e...m...o...n...e...y and even less loyalty to the crown.

If we are talking about the main line, then FFXII is my fav.

I have to go with FFVI. FFVII wasn't bad, after all it was the first Final Fantasy I ever played so it did introduce me to the series; but I got so much more enjoyment out of FFVI. In fact I'd play it again if I could find a copy of it. I've really lost interested in the series since FFX-2 came out, it's since then that most of what I loved about the series has been abandoned.

IX is my all time fave. i played it so many times. I borrowed VII from a friend, which i enjoyed, but it just didnt have the same feel to it.
