We'll I've all but exhausted my entire game library. I'm waiting for Alpha Protocol to come out next month, and until then, I need something to pass the time. So, fellow escapists which game should I start replaying?
just play solitaire. the 4 other 'games' you list in the Poll make me want to do something thoroughly innapropriate and best not discussed in polite society.
I tried Silent Hill 2 and got rather bored quickly. It wasn't too scary, and movement was annoying on PC. The only redeeming "horror" feature of the game is the radio static... And it's the same thing movies use, just a gimmick to startle the audience.
I think everyone is over Resident Evil 4 and 5's 'frantic' gameplay now and Silent Hill 2 is the type of game that is best played once. Lugi's mansion was fun but not substantial enough to mentally prepare you for Alpha Protocol.
Luigi's Mansion is short, you can basically blast through it in one sitting if you're bored one day. I like self-contained games like that, where you can just go "Hey, I'm bored", pick it up and play it through to the end. My desire to replay games is sporadic so I usually can't be bothered to play one that spans several days unless I reaally want to play it.
Plus if you're an ex-Nintendo fanboy nostalgia is always fun.
RE4 of course. Just make sure you have the sniper rifle when you reach the lab level. Because I forgot and didn't save in ages so I had to start the entire thing over.
Find a copy of Parasite Eve 1 and 2. Or Clock Tower. Or Fatal Frame. It seems you like horror/survival horror, so any of those should tickle your fancy.
And yes, Luigi's Mansion could be considered survival horror.
