I know, this has been done before (I even did this recently) but I need to know which game I should get.

On Tuesday, I'm going to get Assassin's Creed II and while I'm there, I thought I might sell my beloved PS2. I've had great times with it, but I've got PS3 now and don't really see the point in owning one anymore, so I'll sell it and use it to get 1 of 4 games I'm wanting.

So, out of the following, which would bring me the most entertainment?

-Uncharted 2
-Borderlands
-Demon Souls
-Dragon Age: Origins

these basically.

I would also suggest Demon's Souls if you're not prone to chucking your controller at your TV in a blind rage.

Borderlands if u are a crazy loot whore who loves shooters. It starts off slow because the weapons are pretty bad in the beginning and are really inaccurate. You will probably die a lot in the first 30 levels but after that you rarely die as I have found out (as lilith at least). Once you get ur weapon proficiency up and better weapons the game becomes really really fun as a shooter. Just realize its an RPG so it takes quite a few shots to take a lot of mobs down.

Dragon Age is also a very good game. If you compare the two heads up DA:O is probably the better game. It too starts off really hard but pretty much stays that way throughout the entire game. There are easy fights but there are some seriously tough fights that make you need to save the game after every fight. It is a great RPG but it is a tactical RPG which means you control the whole party and are constantly in the pause menu queuing up your party members' next attack. Its not an MMO where you control one person and the rest of your party does its' thing. The AI is ok but not great so you constantly have to make sure they are doing what you want them to.

My guess is that Borderlands is like 30+ hours to max level plus whatever time you take to run around getting better guns. DA:O is rumored to be 80+ if you are doing all the quests you come upon.

My suggestion would be DA:O because it should technically have a more lasting value as the story is MUCH stronger and the gameplay is as solid as you will find in an RPG. And because it will last longer once you are finally done with it, or need to take a break from it you will probably have money to buy Borderlands. I love having both as I switch between the two on a daily basis so I never get tired of either.

Other 2 are mediocre.
Uncharted 2 is far from mediocre, but Demons Souls is my reccomendation, followed by Uncharted 2.

But either way unless you own a backwards compatable ps3 you should not sell your ps2. I am sure you will regret it eventually if you do, I know I did.

FYI, your PS3 can't play PS2 games, unless it happens to be a very specific model. Test this before you sell your PS2.

The best game out of those four is Borderlands.

even so my ps3 can play ps2 games but some just don't work with it (it had graphical flaws and sometimes freezes I'm not sure why I guess it's just not made like the ps2 was...) and since there are amazing ps2 games don't sell it.

My PS2 has served me far better in recent times than both my 360 and my Wii. Enough so that I can not forsee ever getting rid of it, even for more games.
I don't remember, does the PS3 have backwards compatibility? I don't remember? If yes, sell it and get Dragon Age. If no, sell it not as it is a wonderful system deserving of decades of praise.

Dragon Age Origins. There is just so much to do in the game; and you can replay it numerous times.

Seriously, how bacwards compatible is the PS3? I'm too lazy to look it up.
Only the first models are backwards compatible.

The earlier models can play PS2 games but are also at a higher risk of failure (not sure why) but I have a later model that doesn't play PS2 games.

I did have a lot of great times with my PS2 though, and I never would see myself selling it, but I never play it anymore and I think its just time to let it go.

Borderlands. It's a great game with a great storyline and great gameplay.
ill have to disagree with the "great storyline" of borderlands. its a good game but if you have to choose between those games only, i would go with Dragon Age Origins
