On forums, PC gamers can get pretty angry, but when actually playing with them, they can be some of the nicest gamers. Partially, I think that the whole "PC gaming is best gaming" mentality has led people to be nice so that they can keep that tile as the mature, intelligent gamer.

I've been faced with anger in the PC, 360, and the PS3, but the 360 and PC have been the worse in my experience, why? No idea, it's just an unhealthy environment at the moment.

The community on all of the Call Of Duty games are awful simply because of the competitive nature that is FPS gaming....

What? It's "Xbox gamers" and "PS3 gamers" as well. It's not implying games were not made for the platform it?s just splitting people in sub categories base on their platform of choice. What else would you have people who play in the PC referred to as? besides the master race.

First, you should think of something called... I can't even tell if I was being ironic or sarcastic.

Second, not only you took it literally, you also misunderstood the comment.

And finally, the real reason I don't like the term PC gamers is because my computer is a social instrument, where I do my work, and where I play games. Xbox "gamers" might also have a PS3.

Basically, it's all a ingenious ploy to keep arguing and giving corporations free publicity and discriminate against each other.

In my experience, PC Gamers seem to be the most constantly outraged at bugs etc, so I assume it's them.

In all honesty, I have no idea.

Retro gamer, they are by far the ones that always get hot under the collar with video games.
Look at their icons, such a the "Angry" video game nerd, DPS gaming and a large portion of screw attack.
Also if you go on a retro gaming website they tend to also be the most verbal, and insulting.

This is very true, the retro gamer bunch can be and usually are really defensive and uptight about games released decades ago. Showing your appreciation for something is all well and good, but it only tarnishes the 'retro gamer' group if you flip out over one comment. I used to frequent ScrewAttack on a regular basis near when it started, (in the days Handsome Tom was still there) and on a forum thread I stated that Street Fighter 2 might not be the best game ever made. *cue unimaginable amounts of rage*

On a separate note, the Angry Video Game Nerd video's have really started to drag over the last few years, effects don't make what is effectively old game review show better. Now a movie has been announced. *facepalm* Really?

Honestly, you find those jerks in any group gamers and their respective clans are no different. I always hate when people use examples like L4D additional DLC and Battlefields free content because these are things that are promised when the game was released and then abandoned when it was inconvenient. If you pay for a game that advertises free updates and they give you one it is LEGALLY false advertising as was BF's giving away a free copy of another game. However a developer does not need to make a game specifically for your console or to suit your tastes and I find PC gamers ***** about these things the most. Granted I may just be missing it because I spend less time around those people.

I would say it's a close call between the XBox gaming gentlemen and us PC gamers, though really we should win. Between all out legitimate complaints, sense of entitlement and a genre that breeds anger (MOBA), you have to be pretty epic to beat us.

I picked "other" because I don't think there is a set group for the angriest gamers. I think the angriest gamers are in every group. I think the anger directly relates to the maturity of the gamer, not the specific machine they play on.

I can feel that myself when I get my general rage moments.

Currently: PC gamers, seeing we tend to get screwed over in favour of console peasants.

In general: Console gamers. The rage you hear in multiplayer in some games is astoundingly hilarious.

I don't know about getting screwed over, I still get my grand-strategy fix from paradox (<3), and I don't know about the console gamers either. The pc-gamers I've played with over the net(mind you, I don't play online often) have mostly been ass-hats acting more like sophisticated bots with colourful language than actual people.

I would go with PC. Console owners tend to fling shit at their community and keep it contained. PC gamers fling shit towards everyone else. That probably makes them smarter, but more annoying.

I'm the biggest asshole apparently, I started the thread and play on PC and on 360 (our current top angriest people).

But on a more serious note, I had complete understanding that this kind of thread has the potential to attract negative attention and comments which is why I made it clear in the first post that I am not here to start a Flame War. I know that it seems like a thread like this could only cause flaming and that my intentions must seem obvious because of that, but I am really not trying to cause anything bad to happen.

I mentioned before that if people get angry at what someone else posts and must resort to cursing and flaming then they obviously need help. It's not worth getting mad over. I'm not however saying that people don't have a right to argue their point in an intelligent and collected manner, by all means do so.

The reason why I like this thread right now is for the simple reason that we're pooling feedback on our own and our community's behaviour. I see a lot of PC gamers that are actually voting for themselves (which I think is great and I did myself) and many people actually explaining why they think this certain group is angrier/bitchier/whinier than the rest. This is good stuff though, I'm not offended when you guys are saying that my "group" is a bunch of elitists and smart assholes, honestly I love reading WHY you guys think so.

What I'm trying to say and do here is to put things into perspective for everyone. Yes okay some criticism may be harsh, but always, ALWAYS, stop and consider the very simple fact that the person saying harsh things has a reason for saying them. Something or someone made him or her have that opinion. Calling him stupid will only serve to solidify it too, so don't.

I want everyone here to try and be understanding of each other's opinion even if you disagree and are trying to argue it. And if anything said in this thread brings you some personal insight into the things that you might be doing that make you look like an angry, whiny, ***** then good, you might stop being one afterwards.

Anyway, keep discussing, I personally think this is a great conversation, and whoever said Tabletopers are the angriest just made my night, lol.
