Would you rather have the Portal gun (from Portal obviously), or the Point of View gun from the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy?

I personally can't decide. The Portal gun would probably be the more fun of the two, but I can see far more useful applications in my day to day life for the POV gun (being an opinionated and argumentative person). If there's another fictional non-lethal gun that you think can do something even cooler than you can say (I'm saying fictional and non-lethal cause other wise this thread could go on forever)

(I wasn't sure which forum to post this in as Portal is a game but HGTTG is a film, I went for Off Topic in the end I hope that's ok.)

EDIT: Something went wrong with this when I was making it and I made another one because I thought it had failed completely. The new one actually has a poll so go to that one.

The Portal gun only works on certain surfaces, (blasted moon dust!).

I'm gonna pretend it works on all surfaces and have the Portal gun.

Much as I like Hitchhiker's Guide AND that gun, I actually wouldn't want the POV Gun. It would mean that people would start knowing my thoughts, maybe ones I don't WANT them to know. You have to be careful with that sort of thing.

Whereas portals are just plain FUN.

Anyway, I'd have to go with the Aperture Science Handheld Portal Device. Just too useful around the house.

Portal guns probably. They're much more fun and the POV gun ruins the fun of arguments and discussions.

How about gravity guns? Makes moving furniture so much easier.

Point of view gun. I love people getting to know more about me, but they'd probably gain my ability of ruining everything by using stupid amounts of logic.

I think this thread is pretty much unanimous that the Portal Gun would be much more fun to have, and I'm agreed.

This isn't a poll, I'm fairly certain most people on the escapist wouldn't want the p.o.v. gun (if only because it was in that awful adaptation). why not add some other wacky guns like the aegis and eclipse from the conduit 2.

I made another one with a poll (something weird happened to this one but I don't know how to delete it). There is an Other option in the new thread for people to post their own suggestions but it was just those two I was thinking about at the time.

portal gun it is for me, i would simply place a portal at my home, and another at uni. NEVER LATE AGAIN. and then sell it to the united states goverment. for a cheap way to get to the moon. ILL MAKE BILLIONS!
