Uh. Does it matter? No really, does it matter? I have peanut butter on one slice of bread and jam on the other slice and I put it together. But I usually do jam first because it can be wiped off the knife much more easily.

What I've found works is nutella and jam - jam on one side, nutella on the other (although I don't do that very often due to its almost sickening sweetness)

Then the most obvious choice, PB on one slice and jam on the other slice. Anything else is heresy.

Though even so, I tend to spread the jam on it's slice first, as it's easier to wipe if the knife than peanut butter.
