I'm not sure if this comparison has been done. Nothing much came up in the obligatory search I did. Of course, not quite like this, at least. I don't think.
Of course, it's been a while, but we've accepted after Family Guy pointed it out, that The Bird was The Word. However, after that episode, in our Social Studies class we were made to watch a movie that stated that a different word was The Word. That's right, you know what I'm saying;

I can predict where the majority will go, but I'm curious how far Grease will get. Of course, if you know another The Word you can choose other, and I merely haven't been shown this. Feel free to choose another The Word, but it has to be a song. That's right, we're discriminatin' non song-ified The Words. Oh well.
I don't know how the timeline quite works, but Grease was from the 70's I think, and Surfin' Bird was from the 60's. Though Grease was set in the 50's. I don't know if anyone thought it was The Word then, but Grease seems bent on it. And then The Bird became the word during the Family Guy episode. So will Grease rise again, will The Bird remain The Word, or will they bow to a new predecessor?
