There murder/taking a life can have just cause behind it like police etc
Rape is never justified ever.
Rape is never justified ever.
I'm not really referring to what is worse according to people, but a lot of people believe some people should die, and murder happens accordingly (btw if you consider killing in warfare to not be murder then please just disregard my comments) (not approving of it btw) but I can't think of too many circumstances where rape is ever ok.Bearjing said:Now what point of view are you answering that question from? Cause I don't care if it was justified or not, I'd rather be raped than murdered.bushwhacker2k said:Damn, I'm surprised so many people picked murder.
Murder can be justified, rape cannot.
He explains it fairly well. If you're murdered then... you're just dead, if you are raped you suffer from it. Once again not saying murder is a-ok.Adremmalech said:From a psychological and societal standpoint, rape does much more damage than murder. Rape and molestation effect mental development and start a chain reaction of intimacy and relationship problems that can span many generations. Women who are raped and don't seek treatment remain victims, and are much more likely to be raped, with their instinct to freeze up when someone is touching them inappropriately. These women will most likely pick abusive men to be in relationships with, and these abusive men will abuse their children who will then be more likely to choose abusive partners, and so on...
So while murder is tragic, it ends with the one life lost. Rape is one of many forms of abuse a young girl can be damaged by in here development which can send her on a devastating spiral.
Plus the chances of pregnancy, STDs, and so on.

I came up with an answer, but I don't really want to say it because I would feel like a dick if I justified rape.Shapsters said:Rape. They both have horrible effects and are both awful things but there is never any justified reason for rape. There are a few reasons for killing someone but really what reason is there for rape?
Murder to me is just killing someone illegally (i.e. warfare doesn't really count to me).bushwhacker2k said:I'm not really referring to what is worse according to people, but a lot of people believe some people should die, and murder happens accordingly (btw if you consider killing in warfare to not be murder then please just disregard my comments) (not approving of it btw) but I can't think of too many circumstances where rape is ever ok.

Pretty much this.Kolosus said:Murder can be Justified

Murder
noun
1. Law . the killing of another human being under conditions specifically covered in law
Verb
5. to kill or slaughter inhumanly or barbarously.
Killing can be justified. You attack me with a knife in my home, I am justified in putting two shotgun shells in your brain. But if I decide to kill you in any other circumstnace, it is not justified.
I did actually address that point somewhat, and I didn't do it so people couldn't just prove me wrong by default. I think the action of justifying the act of killing because "the law says it's okay" or "we're in war, people die" doesn't really fly.bushwhacker2k said:(btw if you consider killing in warfare to not be murder then please just disregard my comments)
The question is obviously talking about murdering innocents. You are comparing the killing of bad guys to the rape of innocents. If you want to bend it like that, then a paper cut is worse.Bocaj2000 said:There are countless reasons for a murderer to do what he does. Watch any action movie you own and show me one where there is no murder. The viewer cheers for Bruce in Die Hard. Most men want to be like 007. The expendables had obvious good guys and bad guys. Beverly Hills Cop had obvious protagonists. they save the day!
I have yet to hear a single good reason to rape another person.
I LOL'd so hard when I read thisBGH122 said:Murder. Unless you're the sort of person who believes that they'll turn into a magical unicorn and trot off into a land of marshmallows when you die (okay, my theology isn't top-notch) then you accept that the reality of the matter is that when you die you're gone for good.
