I'm not really referring to what is worse according to people, but a lot of people believe some people should die, and murder happens accordingly (btw if you consider killing in warfare to not be murder then please just disregard my comments) (not approving of it btw) but I can't think of too many circumstances where rape is ever ok.Bearjing said:

I'd have to think murder. Rape ruins someone's life, murder ends it. I don't have to think too hard as to which one is worse.
There are countless reasons for a murderer to do what he does. Watch any action movie you own and show me one where there is no murder. The viewer cheers for Bruce in Die Hard. Most men want to be like 007. The expendables had obvious good guys and bad guys. Beverly Hills Cop had obvious protagonists. they save the day!

Killing can be justified. You attack me with a knife in my home, I am justified in putting two shotgun shells in your brain. But if I decide to kill you in any other circumstnace, it is not justified.

It's a greyzone. Depending on the circumstances, the act of Rape is much worse than the act of Murder. The physical and mental torture that rape is, can long term seem much worse if the victim is traumatized badly afterwards.
Though ending another persons life, who might not deserve it is ultimately worse.
You can't put the two crimes up side by side, without the answerer having to give a thorough explanation of his/her choice afterwards.

Rape and Murder are the same in my books. Usually murder would follow a rape, which is just horrible. The sick bastards who commit these crimes need to be locked up for a long time.
I think this whole "rape ruins lives!" rhetoric is victimising bullshit that doesn't help anyone. It really annoys me because I know girls who have been raped and they are completely happy, healthy people. I hate this stupid bleeding heart response of "Oh you poor thing! Your life is now automatically ruined!" Because, guess what? If you treat someone like they are a victim - they are going to be a victim all their life.
There's no reason why rape has to ruin someone's life. If society didn't victimise people who have been raped so heavily they'd be much better off.
Note: I'm not suggesting that people who have been raped haven't experienced serious trauma or don't deserve help. They absolutely do. I just don't like the mentality off extreme victimisation - to the point where people are brainwashed into believing it is worse than removing them from existence - because that mentality harms these rape victims in so many ways.
