To be hated for who you are or loved for someone your not?

This has no bearing on my life or anything it just randomly occured to me the other day and I thought I'd get some opinions on the matter, and seeing as you are an intellectual bunch (and my only friends) I'm asking you guys. : )

Does it matter? Who cares which is worse, they're both bad, and that should be enough.

I'd rather be loved for someone I'm not because I can come clean and say that I'm actually not like who you think I am. If you're hated for who you are there's nothing that you can do about it.

Being hated for who you are is significantly worse. But I'd definitely choose it over being loved for what I'm not.
