Poll: Which ME collection mini-game do you prefer?

do you prefer the mako thing where you search for lumps of rocks, or do you like the probe mini-game in ME2?

personaly, i prefer the origonal method, it was boring and tedious, but it gives you a feeling of doing something. if they made it so you could scan planets faster then it'd be better.

I enjoyed a number of the mako missions. The only problem i had with them was the terrain you were sometimes forced to drive over.
I'm hoping that when the new land vehicle thing gets released they will introduce some new planets to explore with it in the ME1 style

As annoying as planet scanning was in ME2, it was much worse to have to put the mission on hold to drive your Mako over yet another mountain in order to find some god forsaken rock hidden in a deep crater that's impossible to drive out of. At least with scanning you can do as much or as little as you want.

The mako was absolutely horrible to control, yet less boring, whilst scanning is easy to do yet very monotonous.
Conclusion: They were both a bit shit.

I'm still waiting for a space-exploration game to have a planet scan/resource pillage system as fun as the one in Star Control 2: The Ur-Quan Masters.
