Poll: Which Movie

OK, my girlfriend is coming over tomorrow and I was wondering which of those two movies I should watch with her. They are two of my favorites and I want to ask other Escapist Members who saw them what they think.

Honestly, I've never heard of or seen these movies, so I'm of no help. lol Sorry.

Is she into long movies? It's been a while, but if memory serves me both of those are really really long films. But I would say Bridge on the River Kwai. They're both great movies, so I just picked a random one

What kind of film is she into?
I'd go for A Bridge too Far if it was a choice between either of those but to be honest, I wouldn't want to watch either of them with my boyfriend.

I'd go with The Bridge on the River Kwai, as its less depressing than A Bridge Too Far, but I wouldn't pick either unless your girlfriend had already expressly stated that she wanted to see either. While they're both incredibly well made movies, they're not for everyone.

Isn't The Bridge on the River Kwai a war film? Does she like war films because if she doesn't you might as well watch Texas Chainsaw Massacre. I recommend Machete it's fun for all of the family. I'm sorry I couldn't have been more helpful.

The idea of watching A Bridge Too Far with your girlfiend is madness, madness!

We did this a week ago. It's over with. We watched A Bridge too Far and she liked it. Though, they didn't show the best parts with Umbrella guy. In real life he immobilized an armored car with the umbrella.
