I recently bought Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising and have been really enjoying it despite the fact the game has been kicking my ass. It's a bit hard to recommend though because I was a bit skeptical at buying it at first and didn't like it for the first hour or so.

What platform is this? If you've got an xbox, I suggest dropping L4D2. Otherwise get that, especially if you don't have 1.

I don't know which Shooter to get both look like they'll take up my time. I know both have great multi-player but which would be the best choice.

Or if you have another suggestion please post, I need the best bang for my buck
Do you prefer 12 years olds screaming into the mic at you, or do you prefer awesome, original co-operative play?

L4D2, atleast you know it won't fail you. It can't be too diferent from the first one. Ofcourse, that is also a bad thing.

i think modern warfare 2 would have better replayablity if you have friends for spec ops and you like multiplayer

Not to be rude, but am kinda sick of people asking the internet for advice on what to buy when their faced with two choices.

Four simple words my friend.

"It's up to you."

Seriously though just follow your instinct and get what you think is right.

Besides if you don't like it, you can always take it back.

Or you could save up for both.

As the only recent FPS I've played, I'm going to say this.

If you have money left over, buy the original, it's got a few less features and is generally less pretty, but it's brilliant. I like Dragon Rising, but my heart belongs to Cold War Crisis.

Left 4 dead 2 if you got friends to play with, otherwise get Modern warfare 2
