Poll: Which should I get

Im having a pretty big issue here, I can either get saints row the third or I can buy Crysis 2 Limited edition and Rage anarchy addition. I'm a huge saints row fan but I did really want to try the other two and I can get BOTH crysis and rage. Escapist help me please

I would personally wait for all the SR3 DLC to be released and then get the entire lot on sale.

I liked Rage and I haven't played SR3 but the second one was..alright. So, I'm gonna vote Rage/Crysis combo.

Call me optimistic, but I can seriously imagine all of those games eventually becomes $19.99 at some point. Then you basically pick up all 3 for nearly the cost of one on launch day.

But if you just HAVE to pick one right now, I vote for SR3 because...well...I'm biased, and I happen to love the saints row series without really caring about those other titles.

Well don't know if you know this but you can go pick up a @Gamer magazine at Best Buy for $5 and use the coupon inside to get Rage FOR $5. There's also a coupon that knocks $10 off any used game $20 and up and I'm pretty sure Crysis 2 is around $20 among a bunch of other great deals. They expire on the 7th.

Crysis 2 has one of the best single player campaigns out there.

The online is, um, alright. It has some good ideas but it can be damned frustrating. The guns are super unbalanced and because of how fast everybody moves iron-sighting is useless. And every body spams the cloak so every single match turns into a game of "Spot the faint outline speeding past your FOV" and by the time you get a bead on an enemy some guy uncloaks behind you and shoots you dead with one burst. Fuck man, just writing about it gives me a headache. I mean if shooting at invisible dudes and missing every shot while they speed behind you and melee you to death sounds like fun, well then by all means get it.

I have Rage but I haven't played it much. What I've played seems good, especially for the price I got it for. Can't say anything about Saints Row: The Third although I did just order a used copy offline, and then sent a cancellation request because 4 days later it still hasn't been shipped.

Honestly I would say get the cheapest now and wait on the others to go down in price, maybe check ebay for a good deal.
Out of those games SR3 would be my first recommendation but they were really stingy with content this time around, and then you check to find a billion DLC packages (well I wonder where those were intended to be), most of their missions are repetitive, there are massive balancing issues, and if you get DLC at the start of the game all the top shit is unlocked so the game is completely broken unless you remove it...
However it is a lot more fun then the other two games.

Go with Saints Row 3. Not because I actually like the game, but because I want THQ to stay afloat for the sake of Relic Entertainment. I don't want to see my favorite developer swallowed up by another entity because THQ can't take care of itself.

I know just about nothing about the Crysis games and while Saint's Row 2 is my favorite Saint's Row in the series, 3 is miles better than Rage. So to be a bit more helpful, flip a coin.

SRTT and RAGE suck. So Crysis 2. Crysis 1 is still a better game, but Crysis 2 is OK I guess. And multiplayer is quite awesome actually. I can't honestly recommend Saints Row The Turd to anyone. It's a fuckin' disgrace what Volition did with their best franchise. All the things that people loved about SR2 are now either non-existent, or in form of DLC you have to pay for. They actually released Cheats DLC! And now they're releasing ninja suits and some other things that were originally in SR and SR2. And most of the DLC was already on the disc!

And then there's the story, which is nothing more than a set of side activities. They ruined the characters, and the story doesn't make any sense at all. They couldn't have fucked that game up more if they tried.
