Since I only own a PS3 and a PC, I guess I'll go with the PS3 version.
Which reminds me, I need to go finish up MGS4...
You haven't yet? How could you do anything else until you beat it? I did absolutely nothing else until I beat the game two times (watching every single cutscene both times). Thank god I got it on Friday instead of the launch date on Thursday, otherwise I would have been forced to skip school.
One single reason.
Paris level.
God, the boredom...
After that it kinda just sat on the shelf for awhile., although I have picked it up again now.
At Mantis atm, so I'm nearing the end.

Oh god, the Paris level was probably the worst, not because of the tedium (of which there was), but because I was playing at night, so I had my volume turned off, so whenever I saw the resistance members, I would shoot them. I finally went to sleep, and the next morning I figured out I was supposed to follow them. The bike sequence and the boss fight at the end made up for the wasted time though.

Yes! Mantis was the second best boss fight, first being the final one against Liquid Snake (You will see, it is amazingly epic). Of course, Laughing Octopus might be better just for the chills i would get when I played it.

Considering I don't have a 360 or PS3...

:x

I'll most likely acquire it for PC. It certainly does look interesting.

None, tried the first one and sampled the 2nd one to hopefully contradict how much i disliked the first. Didnt work, definitely not the series for me.
I might ask that you perhaps give this one a chance, for contradiction's sake again, because it is believed this one will be a different type of game from the last four solid games.
Well you did ask nicely, means i dont have to kill you.
Hell, you could try. Just in case, what suit would you like to be buried in? The pinstripe one just looks dandy.

PS3 version, but that's due to the fact that I don't have a 360 rather than anything to do which one will be teh superiar verzunnnnn!!1!1!!!one!!1!!!1!

Multiplatform games are becoming 'increasingly equal' as of late, if that term makes any sense. It's not about different aesthetics or exclusive features any more. It's come down to personal preference in which controller or online service you prefer, and not much else.

I'll definitely be picking it up for my PS3 on launch day. See, when you've played every MGS game in order twice through and understand the entire plotline, it gets difficult to avoid a new entry in the series.

It's exactly like the new Zelda game: when it comes out, the fact that I will buy a Wii is inevitable. Can't be avoided.

Yeah, the Paris level is pretty boring, but atleast it goes quickly. And I do hope that you get to the end, the last fight is teh epix.

Heh, I love that picture.
Is it just me, or is he just plain adorable? He looks like he'd squeak if I poked him...

Oh, and 360.

Getting Peace Walker instead. Rising isn't being helmed by Kojima and as long as the world's most reluctant game developer is extending his series, I'm going to play the games he actually works on.

Besides: Fuck yeah, Big Boss going crazy and building Outer Heaven. There is no bad there.

Adorable? Squeak?

Hideo Kojima Plushie! Get your Hideo Kojima plushie here! I'm going to be a rich Alchemist indeed...

Oh, and PC.

I saw in the news that Metal Gear Solid Rising was coming to all three platform simultaneously. So I was wondering which version will the Escapist community buy.
I'm planning on getting the PC version. Cause it'll probably be 10 bucks cheaper and hopefully the map packs will be free. (Please)
All three platforms? MGS Wii confirmed.

Edited.

If I were to get it, and chances are I will, it would have to be one PS3. Since I only have a PS3, I have a PC to but I'd don't think Rising is coming out for the PC.

On a side note,

Ps3 because MGS was always on Sony platforms. Plus Xbox 360 could not run it as good or with as good graphics. The xbox 360 was maxed out with Red Faction Guerrilla as in they could not put even one more vehicle into the game without it crashing, yet the Ps3 is not maxed out at all yet.

i've completed every single MGS game like 9 times. My favorite series of all time, going to get this one for sure probably on 360 though

Ya Peace Walker looks good but this Rising worries me. When it says 'Lightning Bolt Action' I hope it doesn't mean there going to take out the stealth elements.
