I'm not sure why everyone is hating Final Fantasy.
Most of the games aren't even related to each other. FF4 had NOTHING to do with FF3 etc.It wouldn't matter if they kept on calling it Final Fantasy, or decided to call it "Emo teens with big swords."

I'd go for Need for Speed, things have only gotten worse since Most Wanted

and by worse I mean pretty much everything that came after it was a pile of steaming vomit

Definitely Final Fantasy. When you've released your 393rd game, it's time to retire... Mario is starting to lose the luster it used to have, but for some reason I don't ever see it dying off.

The worst isn't even on the list:
Sims and its mass of unneeded expansions
You can always vote "Other".
I did vote for it, but it deserves a place in there, even more than for example Gears of War.

True, but keep in mind that when I made this list, I completely forgot about stuff like World of Warcraft and The Sims, otherwise I would've put them on the poll.

I chose Crash / Spyro. When questioned Naughty Dog said recent Crash games were "like watching your daughter do porn". They're not the games they once were, the genre defining giants. They need to be laid to rest.
Did Naughty Dog actually say that?

Why is there no option for Mario Party? I'm fine with new Mario games, but no more Mario Party.
When the option says "Mario", it means the Mario spin-offs (like Mario Party), just so you know.
Okay. I still want other new Mario games, like Paper Mario, but Mario Party really needs to end.

Ok ya I dont like halo because of the story I played games like half life and I see a great fps and they didnt cut the story to make it. CoD4 did this too ya its not unique but at least it made me want to play through the story unlike Halo where after the first game I was dissapointed and felt that they were just going to ride on their gravy train and screw everyone who enjoys a good or at least half decent story. I loved the first Halo but now it just seems like they have stopped trying.

Im glad bungie is ending halo (ODST is their last halo game) not because I hate halo, I liked all 3 games I just don't want it to turn into sonic

Also the guitar hero, rock band battle has to produce a winner.

Crash, Spyro, Mario, Final Fantasy, Zelda. If the respective franchises were each a cow, the udders would resemble something like a shrivelled pinky finger on a mummified corpse.

It's about time we had the Final Fantasy.
Haha, it's funny, because the creator of Final Fantasy gave it the title because it was to be his last game before retirement.

Now look.

It's his final game before retirement for the 13th time, not including the 20 odd spinoffs.

He doesn't work for Square anymore. Final Fantasy stopped being his series at around the FFVII mark when he took a more administrative role in the company. Then they fired him and he went on to form Mistwalker, which made Lost Odyssey, which is as Final Fantasy as you can get without actually calling it that. Which makes me ask the question... would changing the title really make you like the games more? The gameplay won't change. Most of you people just want to bash Final Fantasy, why don't you go and start an "I hate Final Fantasy" thread and say what you bloody well mean, instead of restarting these "series end" threads over and over again.
