How short is the short range teleporter?
Since you asked for travelling, even a 1 km is short compared to the world, so yeah, needs a better definition.

Flight. Seriously, it looks like a barrel of laughs. You never see a bird crying, want to know why? It's because they can fly.
Super Speed. I dare you to find me a comic with a speedster that isn't completely overpowered. That one Flash who could run faster than instant teleportation, Quicksilver and his wacky "Run past three guys as blur while simultaneously tying them up" move... Speedsters are nuts.
Flight would be awesome, but the cold and all the bugs/birds would make it annoying. Went with teleportation.

As useful as teleportation would be, there's always the chance that I'll materialize where something already exists, leaving the risk of permenantly fusing my lower body with a mailbox.
Therefore, I pick jetpacks. They're not as flashy as giant robots, but they're stylish and downright awesome.
Assuming I have some quick working, silent, lightweight compact jetpack like Duke Nukem does, rather than one of those huge bulking things that take up my entire backside and weigh something short of an overweight grizzly bear.

I'd pick a gunship. Specifically a Grey Knights Stormraven. Those things are freaking moving fortresses in the SKY. Makes Bank Robbery much easier if I can just use the antipersonel guns to blow the front of the building and the safe door off, and then send in some Grey Knights and a Venerable class Dreadaught to grab the stuff and hold off the cops. And then blast everything to smitherines with the quite variable and destructive weapons systems.
Blasts away pretty much everything else mentioned:
Jetpack, killed quite easily
Mech, would take some time, but it goes down eventually
Flight and Super Speed, see jetpack

I pick Flash's super speed that totally ignores inertia, where I can go from 1000mph to stop in less than a second without dying. That has the most utility for me.

I believe Super speed would be quite effective as you could run across water if you were fast enough. Just don't run yourself into non-existence. Also The Flash is a boss.
As long as I have unlimited ammo, fuel, and it repairs itself, I'll take a gunship. If I don't have that, I'll take teleporting.
As for which type of gunship, depends on what can be considered a gunship, I'd probably take a fighter though. Or a Star Destroyer, that'd be fun too.
