Meh, I just don't care for flight simulators.
Flight Games: love 'em
Flight Sims: not so much

I used to play Flight Simulator 2004, FSX and CFS3 a lot!
Ever since I got my pilot's licence, I don't play them as often since I'd rather dish out the cash and fly for real.

If man was meant to fly, he would have been born rich.

I wasn't even aware they were still making flight simulators. I think the last one I played was Flight Simulator 98 way back in the day.

I played 98 a long time ago, and only so I could dick around in a helicopter.
I honestly prefered SimCopter for just general dicking around. The controls were simple and you could destroy a city with an Apache gunship! Good times...

If you mean "realistic" flight games like Flight Simulator, I often find them too dry or complex for my tastes.

If you mean combat flight games that are easy to learn but hard to master, then it's an emphatic YES. I grew up playing games like X-Wing, Tie Fighter, Red Baron and A-10: Tank Killer. They are timeless classics in my book, and I still play them from time to time.

I still go on Il2:1946 from time to time, unfortunately my joystick doesn't synchronize properly so all my planes roll unintentionally.

I played one of those "realistic" ones at Dave & Buster's. I did a barrel roll and concluded my flight by flying my aircraft into a building as time was almost out...

I don't have the patience for the uber-realistic flight sims. Flight sims that are more arcade style, like Ace Combat and HAWX, I can do well. But I also liked Over G fighters. Overall, I like anything where I get to fly a plane, but some flight sims just don't have that fun edge to them, which doesn't necessarily have to be an action-packed-missiles-flying-everywhere type of fun.

I miss X-wing Alliance... That used to be my favorite game. I still have it, but I'm afraid to play it again since I'll likely become disenchanted the second I jump back into a YT-1300.

Yeah, I'm gonna have to say that the old school flight sims are still the best. I'm talking Wing Commander, F-15 II and any number of excellent games of the era.

No. I don't have a joystick, and ArmA2 teached me to stay away from planes, can't even get off the gound without crashing in to a tree.

IL-2: 1946 I like my flight sims with full damage modeling and real physics.

DCS: Blackshark, also the best helicopter sim out there.

Rise of Flight - Probably about as good as "1946" but set in WWI... I just don't like having to pay for the planes!

I remember my brother playing flight simulator 2000.

I don't see how people can enjoy it to be honest, but I remember trying to play it myself and crashing all the time.

Also maybe the computer I was playing it on was bad, but the framerate was always rather low. As I said, was probably because I had a crap computer.
