Russel Brand has his moments of mild-goodness. But his Ponderland show is just a pale copy of other rant-style comedians.

Gervais needs to die in a fire.

Al Murray when he's doing his "Pub Landlord" bit, it's just stupid and one-sided. It's the same material over and over, repeated never anything slightly new or inventive, just "HAAA, I'm English and ignorant! BAHAAAAAA!".

Speaking of which, also Peter Kay. He launched trend of the last line in any joke being "Garlic bread", which wasn't even the joke that made me sort of smile.

easily the worst comedian i've ever seen was Jack Dee. he's jus not funny. he's sounds like a bitter old man having a moan, and he's just not funny at it, unlike someone like Franky Boyle

I wouldn't say he's the worst, but you do just want to punch him and tell him to cheer up.

Anyway, considering they're all American comedians (I'm assuming) I guess most of them are the worst - American comedy is so ham-fisted.

If I had to pick a worst comedian I would have to limit my selection to the ones who have a achieved some large degree of fame that are undeserving of it. Therefore, Dane Cook would be my number one choice because I don't believe he has ANY talent as a stand up comedian followed by Larry the Cable Guy.

Chris Rock, he's just plain awful.

Chris Rock has always seemed to me to be in the same category as John Stewart-it only really works when he has good writers. For evidence, I direct you to his stand-up specials (damned good), then to his movies (terrible)

Agreed, to me it just looks like he's TRYING to be shit. He goes way over the top.

I really like Michael Mcintyre, he's over the top but the point he's making is usually quite witty and clever.

As for worst... hmm... Jimmy Carr, Jack Dee, Andy Parsons are all on my list. Sean Lock is borderline.

Jim Davidson. Due to the fact his material is 20 years old, and I not sure on this, but I think he insulted British troops in Afghanistan while doing a gig for them.
Not the best move career wise.

Favourite comedian possibly Dara O'Briain, maybe Frankie Boyle.

David Fucking Cross.
I hate that Insulting dick.
Half his act is insulting the christian religion in as many ways as possible.
Im not a prude either, I can take a joke, but he is insulting just to be insulting.

If you listen to his act, it's not religion or religous people that he insults (he even states this at times), but ignorance, bigotry and mob mentality that is lead by hypocrites who attach their name to God in an attempt to co-opt some of that "God" power.

David Cross's act works on the level that it does because he is subverting many of the lies we take for granted on a daily basis.
