Poll: Who was Your Starter Pokemon in X and Y

I managed to get a female Fennekin, if I went a few more times getting a make then I would have just got Froakie. Fennekin just looks female to me, it would be weird if she was a male.

I usually take the water starters because they (usually) have an advantage in the early gyms, but seeing as I wanted Mega Blastoise, I went with Fennekin.

Then I realised Torchic was an available download, which made me have a sad. I'm running around with two fire types now, annoying...

Chespin. Hated Fennekin and wanted Squirtle as my Kanto starter.

Since my girlfriend got X and I got Y I rigged it so as to get all 3...but screwed up and she ended up with a second Fenneken...

Anyway, I chose Fennekin as the one who wasn't traded in. Even though I'm getting a Torchic, even though I'm going to have the option to get Charmander, ever since the starters were revealed I wanted the fire-fox. Ironically, I'm using Chrome.

Froakie. I couldn't choose Fennekin because I'm already going with Charmander and I'm getting Torchic. I do want some diversity.

My answer exactly, I usually go with fire starters, but I already have two on my team. Plus, Froakie's final form is my favorite of the three.

Incidentally... the promo Torchic I got had awful stats and nature, is it possible to "save-scum" that for better stats? I'm too afraid of losing it entirely to experiment.

Yep. I've done it loads of times in the past, with the Deoxys/Mewtwo/Arceus events from Black and White. At least in Black and White the natures and IV's are generated when you receive the pokemon, so if you save in front of the delivery girl and then get it you'll be able to soft reset until you get jolly with 31 IV's in every stat.
OT: Froakie was my choice. I was going to go with Fennekin, but I didn't like Delphox. Greninja, on the other hand, is a badass.

Fennekin because although the ninja Frog is awesome, Fire/Psychic is too cool a combination to miss out on.

Fennekin. Because Fennekin is adorable. And I like magic and the mage concept the Fennekin line has going.

I'm not even that big of a fan of the fire types. Chances are Fennekin won't remain my "main" Pokemon. I'm going to get the Ralts line as quickly as possible, and keep that as my main one.

I'm not going to keep the second starter. I'm only using a starter this generation because of Fennekin, who is adorable. Even though I'm fond of the old starters...yeah, I'm not keeping it.

Ultimately, I was going to get Charizard for the mega-evolution in X so I knew it'd be a decision between Chespin and Froakie...and I just thought Chespin looked a lot cooler/cuter...so yeah.

Now I just need an awesome water type. Gyarados or something.

Fennekin. It's the one I liked the initial look of best since I didn't see the final forms. Kind of wishing I went Froakie, or at least checked out Chespin, but I wanted Squirtle and I don't really like grass starters.

Another Froakie guy here. My second starter was Bulbasaur. I was originally going to build my team around these two, but then I realized that, with the way the EXP Share works now, it's completely viable to have a plethora of different Pokémon to swap in and out of my team, so now I've just got a pool of Pokémon that I rotate in and out as needed. It's a lot of fun, and it lets me shake things up every once in a while, instead of just using the same Pokémon over and over again.

I picked froakie, mostly because I wanted something to balance out the torchic I got from the special event, and the charmander I got after meeting the professor was a shiny, so my team is kind of fire heavy at the moment.

You have no idea. My Braixen has some very curious reaction animations when I... Let's just say the "Pokemon-amie" feature may not have been very well thought out.
