Poll: Who will win the World Cup?

Fairly simple. There's been a number of WC threads, it's only natural. This isn't who you want to win, but rather who you think will win.

I just listed some of the more famous teams, there's only 8 options so don't be angry if your favourite didn't make it (I was being generous with including England ).

I think Argentinia have the best of chances this time. I want to see Germany win after being in so goddamn many finals recently and losing so miserably every time, but I just don't see it happening with our young team. Argentinia don't have the best of coaches but they have insane player potential and are a fairly good tournament team.

I think Spain or Brazil. Argentina just scraped into it, and for some reason they're still keeping Maradona as the manager. The man was a good player, but doesn't seem to be that much of a manager.

personally for me i choose argentina purely because they are the most skillful team in the world cup, although it doesn't mean nothing if they don't play as a team. I want england to win of course but would be happy with a semi appearance. should be good nonetheless.

I'm just glad that since Ireland was knocked out in the most controversial of circumstances, for the whole world cup we can all just say "Oh, wow, if Ireland had been let in they'd certainly get this far." Thanks France, because of you there's no possible way we can collapse out and be a laughing stock.

Italy. They won the last World Cup so I don't see them repeating, but they have a great defense, it's hard to beat a team if you can't score.

I'm looking for one of the African teams to make a run for it. Teams close to the host nation tend to do well.

Like who? I'm kinda dissapointed by Brazil. A lot of their hopefulls of the last World Cup didn't exactly turn out fine, they probably have the worst team in a long time. Except Kaka ofcourse, but even he seems to be suffering under the all omnipotent career ruining Madrid.

They should just let Ireland play instead of England. Would spare the English quite a bit of embarrasment.

Probably won't happen though. I'm taking a wild guess in saying France will win.

Same here. We have a good team this year, but it's still just wishful thinking.
