I'll say Cole if they are anywhere with electricity. He'd just walk over grab some wires and spam that attack that calls down God's Wrath.

He'd either kill Alex or melt his armor together Dr.Doom style.

HA Alex is way to fast for cole to shoot him with lightning, and alex can just kill him with the whipfist from a mile away

Cole has snipervision which sends the world into slow mo. Alex ain't fast enough or far enough.

Alex fell off a 20 story building, twice, and lived, and he was shot by a tank, then ended up destroying it by sumining giant spikes from the ground.

cole can't survive a shot from a gun or an explosion, he can just twittle his fingers and make little sparks of electricity.

Cole survives falls just as high and does in fact survive bullets and explosions. Which is a moot point for him as he'll probably have shot first and be perfectly safe.

oh ok so he can do an elbow drop from the top of the empire state building and then just walk it off, and dusting off the rubble from his jacket.


Alex has WAY more weapons than cole does, and he could kill 100 people in just 5 seconds!

Cole drops from buildings like an electric meteor both raping things he lands on and electrifying and exploding the stuff nearby.

And Cole can electric chain to kill crap loads of people.

Alex has Hammerfists, Claws, Massive muscles, Whip fist, and a giant arm Blade. He can protect himself with strong armor and a shield that can protect from tanks

Remember the slow-mo snipervision? Alex wouldn't even know Cole was there until his brain started to fry. In addition he'd need to be able to get close with Cole shockwaving him like he's playing Pong.

Alex can disguise himself as anyone and when cole isnt suspecting it, BAM, he gets eaten.

Eating a living generator is not a good plan. He'd be fried even faster than normal.

You have no idea if he can survive being electrified. Everything he fights uses solid objects. You're also treating Cole as if he were human. His vision lets makes machine gun fire look like a six shooter Alex would look much slower.

Im pretty sure if he can survive a nuke he can survive a complete electrical maelstrom, and you seem very biased, have you played both games?

I'm not biased at all. Personally I think that the winner would be determined by who strikes first and where they fight not by any specific personal abilities. And Cole got his powers from an explosion which says a lot about his resilience.

Cole can survive more advanced damage than a normal human, due to his electricity reanimating dead tissue, but he has a limit Alex does not he can regenerate, and reshape at a molecular level electricity only affects things at a cellular level

I'll agree to disagree. Alex is tough but there's only so much electricity a being made of flesh and blood can take.

I think this thread has descended more into fanboyism then actual conversation. I'm also sure more people here have played Prototype then Infamous or just choose to ignore any sort of actual move Cole has and just spout random shit about Alex being awesome because he kills people in more creative ways.

Your points are only relevant if we assume that Cole can dish out enough power to do serious damage to Mercer. Consider briefly that even fully powered up, Cole's attacks take a few zaps to down normal guys in hoodies and/or trashbags. They take several zaps to put down the final group of enemies, which are basically just normal guys in spec-ops suits. Alex can withstand several direct hits from a rocket launcher or a tank. He can even be caught in a nuclear blast and survive.

Mercer is also way, way faster than anything Cole normally has to deal with. I see Cole going into sniper, landing a few hits on Mercer, running out of energy after a few shots (which is what happens in sniper vision) and then having to deal with the fact that Mercer has either:

a) Very, very rapidly closed the gap between them
or
b) Gored Cole with the whipfist

The fact is that Cole has a few very major limitations:

1) He doesn't dish out damage on the level that would be required to put down Mercer quickly enough, whereas Mercer could likely put down Cole in a maximum of two hits from any of his abilities.
2) His powers which might be able to counter Mercer's speed and/or abilities would drain his energy far too quickly, whereas Mercer's powers (with the exception of Devastators) require no stored energy to fire off.

I agree that, for the purposes of this battle, the two start off at standing positions some distance away from each other, each aware of the other's presence. What I'm saying is that Cole is not capable of hitting Mercer hard enough and fast enough to put him down. Maybe lightning storm could do it, but Mercer would never hold still long enough to get hit by it.

I would just want to add that cole can, with his electricity, make alex's nervous system go apeshit like the new tasers thats out there. its highly unlikely that alex body can work whitout proper communication in form of electrical signals.
