Poll: Who's your Demigod?

I've recently been playing Demigod. A lot. Noticing that there were 8 demigods available, I could not resist making a poll here.
I want to know what Demigod the Escapists are using, and why. If you want to discuss tactics and builds, feel free to do so ^^

Personally I like to use the Queen of Thorns in a fully closed-flower build: I buy the strongest minions of each type as soon as I can and invest all my skill points in Shamblers, Bramble Shield, Entourage, and then, depending on how the game is going, Compost, Morale or Mulch Shambler.
Runner-up is definitely the Rook. With enough speed-enhancing items he just plows through enemy defenses.

I had that same question. I myself haven't played demigod yet, but have seen some vids, and it looks intriguing. Would this game be recommended for someone who is still hopelessly addicted to DotA.

I just bought the game too. Played Queen of Thorns too, and like her... she is deliciously evil with style... and sexiness *g*. I like the humor of the game... Lord Erebus: "Blah" ... yeah he has to be second, just for that.

But i have to play a bit more.

The most fun to play for me are the assassin types, especially torchbearer (fire build) and unclean beast. Flavor-wise, though, they're all pretty awesome.
Well... except Regulus.

I too have not played Demigod BUT I think that Vin Diesel is a God in his own right.

I play a bit of DotA - not an expert by any means but not a complete noob either. Demigod is a lot less deep than DotA, but a LOT easier to get into. The sorta game you can whip out at a lan and with a couple of tips and a couple of matches people will be contributing solidly to a team. Without some more updates and an increase in speed, i can't see it ever being quite so competitive. But certainly a lot of fun in its own right, and a good alternative to dota to play with friends who don't play dota.

As for the poll: I've kicked the most ass with Lord Erebus. His drain life has got waaay to low a cooldown; he has a stun and good speed that lets him run away or hunt as well as an assassin; he produces a LOT of minions.

Only played for two days before uninstalling it but i liked Rook the most because he is most effective when not doing anything. His archers seem to do more damage when he's standing still and that extra damage is better then his melee attack. Original idea but that's about it.

Someone please explain to me how this game works exactly (and please don't say it's like DotA cause I never played it), it looks pretty cool but all the levels kind of look just like RTS maps whichs turns me off a bit cause I thought it was a little more on the RPG side.
