Oh for...

There isn't that much hate for CoD. It's extremely popular, as you probably noticed. The games sell like mad and get a good critical reception.

However, any popular thing is going to draw comment. And, subjectivity being what it is, some of that commentary is going to be negative.

Basically, just bloody deal with it.

The comunity is the only thing from the poll i dislike, mostly cause the major ones tend to be total arseholes...
I remember when modern warfare 2 came out and a know several people who declared it had become the best selling game ever of preorders alone (total lies, last i checked it wasnt even the best seller in its genre).
Then they declared the same again for black ops, both times using this as an excuse to declare it awesome.
Apparently its also a sin to question cods worth infront of some people too...

Otherwise, only real issue i have, beyond the amount of hype and advertising its has, is that the single player tends to lose out to the multiplayer.
As someone who rarely plays online its becoming worrying to see games where single player is stupidly short and in some games almost seems like an addon for the multiplayer (someone told me brink did this).
So thats more a problem with games skimping on single player really.

Mind you, i dont hate cod, but i dont like it either.
(except zombies)

Great GAME. Not plural. Stop making it over and over again if you don't have something to add.
Pretty much. I loved COD4, but the series has been stagnating since it's success.
Lets just put it this way- There is a reason activision can afford giving away a copy of MW1 for every preorder of MW3.
