Because my GBA didn't have a backlight and I didn't like the feel of the SP. Oh, and it has awesome games. Ever heard of Scribblenauts?

Too poor for psp? Psp costs more then DS last time I was in store hehe.
I just got a ds because at the moment I had money to spend. Looking bad, prolly not my best buy, got 1 game for it and barely touch the thing.

Sounds like somone likes the PSP more than the DS.
I got mine because of the pokemon games and now i lost it and could care less but im pretty sure the same could be said if i got a psp for final fantasy.

Or possibly because it had games coming for it which I wanted to play, the main one being Diamond/Pearl. Funnily enough a new Pokemon game was what inspired asking for a GBC for Christmas many years earlier.

Also the fact that I had started earning money and the DS emulators online weren't working at the time is what persuaded me not to pirate DS games.
