Love Sci Fi aesthetic, love the AWESOME music that goes with it (If there was one good thing about the Prequel Star Wars Trilogy, it was that the music was amazing. Seriously, that music WAS the acting in the films, add to that Star Trek Online's theme, slightly different from the normal Star Trek Theme, but more awesome IMO, the sounds that go with Battlestar Galactica - the remake, Mass Effect, Halo, TOR, ect. - Sci-Fi just has amazing music IMO). When I get I sci-Fi game, I can be semi-sure I'm going to enjoy it. Its just the way things are.

Because Reality is boring... and unrealistic. But mostly boring.
It took me a couple of posts here to think of fantasy as (somewhat of) an opposite. For the same anti-reality reason, I probably like fantasy just as much as sci-fi, as a game (or film) setting. Imaginative worlds where our rules don't apply. It's fun to learn about the internal logic, and few things are as beautiful to look at as constructs and land(?)scapes that don't/can't exist.

Never understood the massive fascination of sci-fi culture.
You fly a boring grey ship around nothingness, land on a planet where you speak to ugly creatures whom happen to either a.) speak the same language as humans or b.) try to rip you apart in the most despicable way.
And all the humans tend to be cliches from daytime American TV shows.
There are exceptions of course. I enjoyed the first Halo, as it still is great co-op. But that's more from a gameplay perspective. And Phantasy Star Online was one of the few Sci-fi games to actually add a decent level of colour.

I need just a regular "I like science fiction" vote, without the 'all' in it. I DO like alot of science fiction, but there's sci-fi that can also die in a fire which even MST3K and Riff Trax won't cure.JamesCoote said:
