Let me begin by saying that I love my Xbox360. She's been with me since 2005 and has successfully survived like 5 moves. She's been a great friend when I need entertainment. Microsoft has totally stepped it up over the last few years in the way that they've improved the whole Xbox experience. I dig last.fm and netflix the most. I love that I can use my console for more things than just gaming.

But, therein lies the problem. i bet that 80% of my time spent on the Xbox is spent doing things other than gaming! I'm watching movies, listening to tunes, surfing the Zune store. So, why am I not playing games? QUALITY OF THE GAMES IS THE ANSWER! Compared to some titles i've seen for PS3 my old girl seems shabby and worn out. The folks from Sony definitely put out some beautiful stuff.

Case-in-Point :

Final Fantasy XIII

Little Big Planet 2

Uncharted 2

......the list could go on and on.

It almost seems that since Halo was released the Xbox guys have found themselves without a really compelling title that is Xbox only.

Am I alone????

I LOVE my xbox for everything about the actual console itself but with bioware now on both systems I have to agree with you. Though my list is more like Infamous, God of War and Demon's Souls.

Yeah, I some of the PS3 exclusives look really great, namely Little Big Planet and Demon Souls.
There's a lot of gold in the XBLA- 'Splosion Man, Castle Crashers, Braid, Psychonauts...

FFXIII is for the Xbox 360, too.

I bought a PS3 recently, and the 360 does really seem redundant.

They seem to think that all the shit they're adding counters the fact that you have to pay for Live, but I could just get that stuff for either a lesser cost or for free on my PC, so what's the point? And why should I be paying to play the other half of my game's that I've already bought?

I'll keep it for now, but only because I've got AC2 and Brotherhood - I don't replay much else on it.

I checked out FFXIII for Xbox but was disappointed when comparing it to the graphics and presentation on PS3.

Meh, you dont loose much, there are as many good exclusives on the Xbox as there are on the PS3. In February quality games will start to hit the shelfs, and most of them are multi-plat so just wait a litle bit.

PS3 does a a fabulous year planned for 2011. I wont argue with that, but that could be said with out comparing it to xbox. I am not a fan of console wars, that is all.

EDIT: I suppose I should apologize I misread a few line in the op which made the post seem more trolly then it probably was meant to be. sorry my bad.

That being said I am stoked about Killzone 3 and the prospect of MOVE controlled FSPs in general. IF done right PS3 could establish itself as the FSP console.

I couldn't tell the difference between graphics.

FF XIII looks exactly the same in both platforms.

It's true but it's also flamebait. I like a lot of things about the Xbox but the games definitely aren't one of them.

I'm totally looking forward to some new releases this year. i think it's great that they've been able to extend the lives of these systems year after year and keep coming up with better and better titles.

I think the Wii has more "core" titles coming out next year than the 360.
2011 is looking to be the year of the PS3 though. Uncharted 3, LBP2, KZ3, a new Motorstorm, Socom 4, and a lot more.

I know what you mean. That's why I got my PS3 instead of a 360. PS3 exclusives are great, though I love the things you can do with a 360.

But c'mon, just look at what's coming out for PS3 this year:

No, I agree with the troll comment. It became obvious at the part about FF13. It's a multiplatform game, thus there's no need for this "I wish I had a PS3 so I can play it!", thus I too smell a troll.

Whether actual or not, that does come across as a bit "forced viral".

But I agree, 360 does not have as many appealing games as PS3 offers me, but then again Microsoft has always operated under the "System Seller" school of thought, there strategy is to jut have tha ONE AMAZING GAME that EVERYONE is talking about. Enough to get people to buy a 360 then... why try any harder?

Companies like Sony and Nintendo always saw their console as a great way to release their OWN games, but Microsoft is much happier just investing in one franchise (Halo for shooters, Forza for racing) and coast on the money earned from licensing third parties to release on their system.

Microsoft have never been good with game Developers, and frankly they seem to be getting worse over time. One thing they do seem fond of is blatantly just paying for exclusives, as in a developer completely independent from Microsoft makes a game or DLC, with the full intention of releasing it on as many systems as possible, till Microsoft coems along and basically bribes them not to release it to the competition. As they did with GTA4's DLC, $40 million up front to delay release on PS3 + PC.

It's utterly unscrupulous and if there was any real regulation in the Games industry it would be illegal, but it isn't.

So you see why Microsoft gets on a lot of people's wick?
