It's called a Xbox360.
Sure that's a mircosoft owned box but all it's games cry apple.
Halo was meant to be a mac game and if you think about it, it makes sense.
It's just that apple didn't have the vision to do it.
An Xbox360 user is much more likely to buy a mac then a pc.
Complexity is after all what people who play on a xbox360 dislike the most.
I own a 360, a gaming PC and not a single Apple product. I doubt I'm the only one.

Nah, they should just stick to the phone and music business.
Fixed that for you. The iPhone is about as good a phone as it is a games console - pathetically bad in either instance [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/326.155147].
Haven't mentioned this before, but I loved reading that. I really did.
Okay but other then that one thing you must admit that the xbox360 could have just as easily been called the iBox360.

Why?

Because only the rich snobbish arseholes will buy it.
I guess you're one of those people that never had a Mac, but hate it anyway. Good on you! Macs are no more expensive than pc's. They just don't have low-end computers like Dell.

You don't hear me bitching about PC's. It's a better gaming platform than Mac.

Apple would only get into the gaming industry if they feel they could really change the industry by their product. And if Steve Jobs steps down, because obviously he's not into games. Never has been. The Pippin was released when he wasn't at Apple.

apple sucks, lets just leave it at that.
You own a Mac? Because that would be the only good way to criticse Apple, by using their products.

Don't hate without good reason.

...except it's made by Microsoft.

...and not Apple.

Who last I checked were competitors in the PC industry.

What I dislike about apple is that they don't sell hardware, they sell a lifestyle.

It would have to be thought out well and not just on a whim. Nintendo progressed from real games to digitised versions of said games before any real computer games were made by it, Sony was hired by Nintendo to make a disc system but had a falling out and didnt want to waste the technology (similar origins as the Phillips CDi) Microsoft bought a lot of companies and monopolised their way in as well as having PC only titles for some time they could continue onto its console.

Apple would need to bulk up its Mac gaming platform before even thinking about making a successful console. The myth about over priced hardware (actually the just dont make low end consumer junk and cost similar to GOOD PCs) even if true for a gaming console wouldnt deter it (look at the PS3s launch prices) though its most successful games platform was marketed as a phone (iPhone/iPod Touch apps)

Maybe in the next generation Apple COULD make a console and may have enough 3rd party game support but i dont see it happening as it would dilute the company's attentions.

The Xbox platform is like what Apple USED to be (Based on IBM Power PC processors) and in a way like they are today, trying to be a whole multimedia hub (as apple are trying with Apple TV and a few other things) but thats where the comparisons end.

No, just no. As soon as they put out a console the internet will become flooded with gaming dilettantes telling me that I'm an idiot for having a non-apple console without realizing how bad and overpriced their "console" is. It would suck big time. Dear god if they make and apple console I will personally go to each apple store and

then
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qg1ckCkm8YI
We already have that with the Xbox Fanboys and PS3 Fanboys insulting each other for buying the console they dont like, not all Apple users are snobs but a lot of Fanboys are jerks and the vocal minority

You dislike a brand for achieving what ALL brands on this planet are trying to achieve?
