Poll: Why no avatar?

After thoroughly searching forums to see if anyone has asked this question, and finding nothing similar (except maybe for the poll question asking if people change their avatars), I decided to put a few of our users to the question.

If you don't have an avatar set, why not?

I however find it excellent that we don't have signatures so I don't have to scroll the half a page of bullshit that no one cares about.

Try refreshing your profile page a few times. If you go to a thread where you posted you should see it there first, rather then on your actual profile.

It's a pear at the moment if that helps.

EDIT: sometimes others can see the new avatar but you don't. It can be fixed by refreshing a few more times and doing the above procedure.

Next time it happens, you can do it faster by hitting CTRL + F5.

For some reason, I find not having an avatar kind of nerve-wracking. I always have one when the option is available.

For me anyway, the avatar always gives a small sense of personality to the poster. So no avatar, no personality. With very few exceptions.
