Basically what everone above me has said. And if all the WiimotionPlus does is make the wiimote even MORE accurate then why can't it work with previous games before it was released? (I think that's the case)
I will promise you one thing, Wii Sports Resort will be the new Wii Play. Wii give up.
I don't get it DS3 is okay but this isn't? Nintendo understands some want to have the Wii mote more accurate and it will take Hardware not a software update to do it. I am worried though if like you said Wii sports resort turns into Wii play (heres hoping the mini games are a set of Wii Bowlings not Wii Turn your guy to fit in a bubble.)
I think the DS3 is a bit different.
The DS3 was postponed making because of the lawsuit (and we've been over this guys, the whole "RUmble's last gen" was a freakin' coverup!) and it was inevitable in the first place (though that's where the differences end). Plus, you've paying $5 extra for rumble, no big deal.
For the wii, everyone already thought the Wiimote was accurate enough, nobody was really claymoring for more accuracy except for a few people here and there but they easily found other ways to make it accurate. Then out comes the "Wiimotion plus!" which will diliver "true 1:1 motion control!" What? Didn't the Wiimote already do that? So now we're going to have to buy 4 extra peripherals that wont fit into my Wii condom anymore and will possibly not work with my older games? What?
Atleast the dualshock only adds weight, it doesn't show a visible difference. Better Wiimotion wasn't on too many peoples minds and all of a sudden it turns out the Wii isn't the most accurate it could be. Then why didn't they make it accurate inthe first place?
Though I do admit, the DS3 and WMP are similar in some places.
As I've said before, damn Nintedno and their marketing ploys.
EDIT: Wait, didn't you get an invite? There was cake! Though it mysteriously vanished, don't know what happend.
