Of course it's going to get slammed when more major releases hit... it doesn't have the deathmatch appeal of a Gears or a Halo or MW 2 to stay viable for a long time, and I'm happy that Borderlands isn't a time suck, as I am interested in other major game releases as well.

That being said, I will consider myself done with Borderlands once I have:

1. Gotten at least 1 character to level 50.
2. Beaten the game with all 4 characters.
3. Gotten all of the achievements (I'm pretty close now and I've only done one character).

I only had two criticisms of the entire game: Getitng stuck on scenery and a crappy ending.
The ending's great! It's the perfect end!

You didn't really think they were going to let you get into the Vault, did you?
Yes, I really did. And due to that expectation, the ending felt rushed, lazy and unfinished. it's like they said
'shit, guys, we're out of time and we haven't designed the Vault yet... let's just end the game at the entrance and give the player some petty cash as a reward!'

Still. It's a minor flaw in a super game.

It looks like a great game, but being released on the PC at close to the same time as Left 4 Dead 2 is going to kill sales.

lol, with a game of this style, there will SO be some serious expansions going on. i bet the isle of dr ned thing is just a sort of, testing the water thing, to see how warm the tub really is. and by tub, i mean how much we all like the game. and by how much we all like the game, i mean how soon we will all go on a brick-like rampage if they don't promise an expansion soon after. and yeah, i don't mind the whole sequel/expansion/dlc lead in with that ending. the game was that good.
