A little while back, I was torn between two people in Mass Effect 2 (Darn you Bioware). I had to choose between Jack or Tali. As much as all the people begged and pleaded, I got with Jack. But then she died, so I got with Tali. BUT THEN, I went back to a save file right before the final mission, and saved Jack. Now, here is the thing, I still "care" for Tali, (Curse you Bioware and you badass characters) and I also like her loving personality. So I thought "let's just go make a new file, and get tali, maybe do diffrent stuff." But then I was all like "NO! I will get to connected with the new Shepered. And I also like Jack, because she has a HEART OF GOLD!

Ok, so I also have a feeling that Tali has more of a chance for ME3, and I would enjoy a partner that is doing the captain "still". So...

WHAT DO I DO?!

Ashley was too much of a ***** towards the other characters and it threw me off...I loved Tali the instant i met her in game so she's always gonna be my love interest for Shepard...

I have two saves, myself, because I can't choose between Tali, who is awesome, and Liara, who is ALSO awesome. So, I imported my Jack Shepard, Adept, twice. A bit of a split in the timeline, if you will.

And I purposely killed Jack on every playthrough because, even if she gets nice after a while, she's a ***** and I hate her and she stole Shepard's name.

Here's what you need to do.

1. Buy two large body pillows.
2. Print Jack on one, Tali on the other.
3. Move to Japan.
4. Hire a polygamist preacher to perform the ceremony.
5. Live happily ever after, heedless of the fact you are now the laughingstock of the entire internet.

Honestly you can pick whoever you want dude. If you want an incredibly biased opinion then I'd tell you to pick Tali. Jack wasn't too bad in my book though. She was at least an interesting character with an interesting backstory. More than I can say for Jacob...

I have to say no. From what I know, they're keeping the core characters to the end (Joker, Chakwas, and hopefully Tali and Garrus). They also said that cheating will be punished in ME3, which probably means you'll see Ashley/ Alenko in more then one instance, so they could be sqaud members. They want to give the fans what the want and introduce more badass characters. On an optimist note Bioware might allow to keep everyone you saved, which would be really cool, because of how wildly different each play-through could be, but that probably won't happen

Jack isn't exactly feeling the love here guys... everybody loves Tali, it's a fact, but not everybody likes Jack.

I hardly know anything about Jack, I haven't played past the first couple missions in ME1 because I don't own the game. Seems to me though that you should go with the unloved underdog and your first pick!

***be warned that if you haven't tried all the paramore options, this may spoil some***

Through the two ME games, I have explored every side to every relationship I possibly could. Ashley was aggressive, but I disagreed with her anti-alien tendencies too much to actually like her companionship. Liara was a very innocent character that I felt made a sincere bond to Shepard. She was my favorite from ME1 without a doubt...not to mention the mental coalescence was really cool. I was however disappointed that I couldn't establish a relationship with Tali in ME1 as her character was awesome. In ME2, Miranda was strong, which is attractive in any real woman, plus her physique is nothing to laugh at. Jack was very heart-warming in the paragon relationship where she opened her heart up, but oppositely, she was very rigorous and reckless in the renegade "one-night stand" type of casual sex... Tali was the one I looked forward to most and I was not disappointed with the element of youthful innocence and faceless mystery that she provided. All of them were interesting relationships, but I'm glad that I finally got a chance to see into a closer connection with Tali and I am looking forward to more in ME3. I would say that all of the girls have good shots at cropping up in ME3 and I'm sure there will be even more new options.

Miranda < Jack < Tali
Is it just me or does Jack look like Natalie Portman?
I'm just not sure if I want to make that kind of emotional investment in Jack.
-My character is named Jack Shepard. Awkward.

This really happened...well why not, it is the internet and not the worse thread I've ever seen. I'm with PrototypeC, you may as well go with your first choice. Then later on if you still have that burning desire, you can always go back through the game again. If all else fails you can do what DeadlyYellow said.

I heard the developers were planning on making ME3 massive by allowing the player to build on the choices they made in ME2... though that would be an exponential amount of paths for the game to follow...
I know in my game the only person who died was Mordin, and I still have no clue why that was.. I did the loyalty quests for all the characters....maybe one character always dies at the end..
Anywho... It'll be interesting to see how ME3 takes ME2 into account.

Or, buy one large body pillow, print Jack on one side, Tali on the other. Half the price.

If Bioware listens to their fanbase, Wrex and a large majority of the characters will return as playable squad mates again. The outcry they received when Wrex was announced to only have a cameo was simply mind boggling. The fact your ME love interest was virtually nonexistent in ME2 only further irritated a large portion of the fanbase. This has been a frequent basis for debate on the Bioware forum and few fancy a new crop of characters in ME3. Bioware took some flack for having restricted how much the actual "your decisions matter" concept was carried over considering few of your decisions have any ramifications upon the storyline.

I, for one, am hopeful most of the cast returns and am extremely curious how we shall be punished for having cheated. Hopefully it is more intriguing than "you slept with someone else, I hate you!" If you screwed around with Tali, I expect, nay, demand Ashley be especially pissed. Tali was a former crew member and non human. That has to tick her off. :D

For me the choice was easy, I had a thing for Tali since the first game. But I like Jack as well. She wasn't just the ***** that the hype leading up to release made her out to be. Deep down she's a scared, hurt girl who just uses anger and aggression to hide. So I can understand why you'd feel guilty dumping her.

But jesus christ dude, they're not real. Stop getting so worked up over it. Just create a second save file where you do everything the same except which romance you pick. It's that simple.
