Only because we are still comfortable, but if something happened like a ban on religions or any attack on any constitutional rights (1 thru 10) then the odd shift to 70% yes, 30% no.
When I say "attack on the constitution", I mean something a bit more obvious like banning a religion, or making it unlawful to own a gun, or making it a crime to not answer police questions (believe it or not the one about police, that I think is the most likely).
I say that mostly because the dude was a militant socialist and was quite the extremist. I mean socialism is definitely better than communism in my book concerning the revolution, but hmmm ya know what? You might actually have a point. Besides, where would we go from here? Either communism, anarchy, or some new system.
anyway, i kind of hope so.. i spose it just depends on the ideology behind the revolution, although if its some kind of socialist working class uprising, then yeah that would be awesome.

No, he was a pretty orthodox communist. Revolutionary socialists aren't usually the democratic, watered-down variety you see in Europen governments.Madara XIII said:I say that mostly because the dude was a militant socialist and was quite the extremist. Now other countries can non-ironically buy t-shirts with his face on them. Sorry about that.

He was best pals with the Soviet Union, and of course Castro.
Uh, he led the freaking Cuban Revolution alongside Castro. That is his sole claim to fame.Madara XIII said:Oh hell no then! Pals with the Soviet Union is understandable but Castro?
I mostly say "Hell No" to the Cuban Revolution because it was no secret Castro hated America.maturin said:Uh, he led the freaking Cuban Revolution alongside Castro. That is his sole claim to fame.Madara XIII said:Oh hell no then! Pals with the Soviet Union is understandable but Castro?
But I don't see how Castro could be called worse than the Soviet Union. (Although I suppose the USSR was in its most cuddly stage, barring the Hungarian Revolution.) The Cuban Revolution was like the Iranian Revolution. Not really worse than what came before, and warranted by it.

Okay, I'm not so sure you're up to date on your history here. About the time of the Cuban Revolution, the U.S. and the U.S.S.R. almost ushered in Armageddon together. And this after shooting down each other's pilots over Korea. But Russia has proven to be our allies at times and despite the fact that we may get into some serious staring matches (Arms Race) I think we're better off with them
First, I know my enemy. The Army has shown me pictures of the enemy using children as bombs. I am a peaceful person and I rarely use the word hate (as it degrades your soul if you allow hate to come in without just cause), but I hate the enemy that uses the innocent children as weapons.GWarface said:AFAIK, there has been alot of raids against people owning guns even though they were not at all criminals.. Owning a gun might not be illegal, but they sure dont like people who has them, since they might actually revolt at one point..
I try to keep up-to-date with the upcomming police-state in America.. And IMHO, its comming sooner than we/you think..
Edit: and saying that you can just stop taking a plane if you dont like the TSA doesnt really dismiss my point.. It is illegal to grope small childrens genitals and going into babies daipers, ESPECIALLY in the name of security and freedom..
I didnt remember the SWAT incident correctly, they did a drug-raid on the veteran's house and they shot him before he even got to arm himself... And no drugs was found.. I cant find the article now, but it shouldnt be hard to find..Gilhelmi said:First, I know my enemy. The Army has shown me pictures of the enemy using children as bombs. Onto the first part with the SWAT team, I want to know details. Did they raid the wrong house (obviously) or given bad info from a bad informant? This is the reason I do not like the "No-Knock" Warrants.
Where do you live in the US? In Kansas, where I live, I know alot of people who live (literally) off of wild game. That is where they get their meat. Also, I see guns being banned first, and you are correct only a small group of people, in the South (us Southerners do like our firearms), are going to rebel. Then the government is going to try and suppress the uprising by banning certain Churches that verbally support the rebels. This act will greatly offend the rest of the Churches that, until now, were neutral or in favor of the government. Then, seeing the rebellion spread, the government will start treating Christians like many government officials treat the peace-loving Muslims. I do not know how this story ends. One of three things will happen, Christ returns and ends the fighting, government just plain wins, or the rebels where out the US government and the South and Bible belt states leave the Union.
Personally, I would like to see Christ return. If for no other reason then to see the stupid end. Darn, that was darkly jaded. On a positive note, I like chickens!! Eggs, fried chicken, they just give us so much.
I do not believe what the Army tells me blindly, they have videos of this happening. Sadly, I can not post any of them because the Army has told me not to, mainly because the videos are very graphic. When I say enemy today, I mean terrorist, usually Bin Ladins group (I cannot remember how to spell their name). That TSA pic, I do not know the details but odds are good they were justified. The terrorist we are currently fighting have done this S*** "Son, go up to the man and hug him. BOOOM. It is OK, the boy is a Marty for the cause." I have seen videos of children being used as bombs.GWarface said:snip

I dont live in the US, i live in Denmark. Now you might think; "why do you care about our laws then?".
I care because danish politicians LOVE to lick the boots of the US government, just like most of the other European countries. And if the US government is succesful in implementing an police-state, the rest of the western world will soon follow.
Either by following orders or by one of your "humanitarian kinetic operations" because we then pose a "threat" to your "security".
It disgusts me to see all the videos of US policemen shooting innocent. That woodcarving native american that gets shot in the back on an open street. The guy at the metro-station that videotapes the police shooting another guy, the police sees him, jumps on him and cuffs him face down, he then wiggle a little and then one of the officers stands up at shoots him in the head.
I just dont want to see this in my country. Hell, i dont want to see that in ANY country. Its police brutallity and thats one of the first signs of an police-state.
And i dont really understand what you mean by "enemy".. Is this baby an enemy that needs to get checked for bombs?
http://www.infowars.com/tsa-looking-for-poop-bombs/
Dont believe what the Army has told you.. The police is already being told in training that your Founding Fathers was terrorists, i wonder what lies your military is telling then..
I could argue that the government before and after the civil war were quite different. Before that war the states were in more control. After the war the federal was more in control.Austin Howe said:Well considering the Confederates weren't even really revolutionaries, that's 235 years strong without overthrowing the government. That's, longer than France has ever gone, if memory, sarcasm, and exageration serve me correctly. And considering Britain hasn't had one in centuriies either, I doubt it. For revolutions, you need dictators. Snicker and be misanthropic all ya want, America isn't a dictatorship. The largest group who have seriously considered taking up arms are regularly scorned as non-patriots who want to restart the civil war.
